I get your point and agree there is some merit to that sort of argument but I disagree and don't get the point highlighted at all.

To how many people is Trump actually worse now than he was before he was elected? He has proved he cares for no-one beyond himself and certainly not democracy, he did that 5 years ago. Who is seeing what has happened since his election and only now having some sort of realisation that he is bad for all sorts of reasons?

He’s found a way to get a large amount of those that would blindly follow him to cast doubt. I personally know a few people that drank the cool aid previously who have now opened their eyes. I think he’s lost the moderate republicans and he’s now just got the radicals left and even some of them are struggling to do the mental gymnastics to rationalize some of the stuff he does.

So i started on Mounjaro on Saturday.

Now i will openly admit i am incredibly lazy. I have worked from home for years and have simply fell into a rut. I've tried to start diets and exercise, i stick to it for a few weeks but then you miss a day here and there and eventually fall back into bad habits. I simply do not have the discipline to stick to it. I was always hungry and i could only go so far living off fruit which simply wasn't filling me up. Chocolate is my biggest issue.

In my mind i believe i can lose weight easily. I am 113kg (over 17 stone) and have seen close family on the jab lose a lot of weight. However, they have simply starved themselves on this jab which in my mind cant possibly be sustainable. You come off the jab and you haven't changed your mindset to food.

So i have joined up to a fitness coach (who are aware i am on the jab) and their app has taught me to count my calories properly and has given me a better understanding of the types of food i should eat to get the necessary food stuffs, protein, fibre etc. I now have a food plan which puts me in a calorie deficit. If i can stick to it then i will lose weight but not at the alarming rate people have lost weight just starving themselves.

I keep telling myself its a long journey and i do not need to lose weight rapidly like people i know. For me though i want to do this journey whilst also changing my eating habits. To give me the best chance of maintaining my weight when  i do come off the jab.

Ill admit though i have woken up this morning and i really do not feel like eating. So i fear hitting my daily calories will be a struggle. So i will see how i get on this week and if i continue to struggle then i may delay my second dose of the jab. I want to find a happy medium.

The main thing for me was to curb my snacking habits. Which the jab has done.

I can appreciate where people are coming from about it being a 'cheat' way to lose weight. But if this helps me change my mindset and be disciplined then im all for it

Two and a half years ago I was 125kg, through varying circumstances I was able to go down to 95kg within 6 months. Since then I have danced between 95-100kg. Last 6 months probably through additional mental health issues thats became a struggle to keep at, tipped over the edge of 100kg last week. I believe I can easily get that down again but at the minute i'm having 2 or 3 bad moments a week which contribute to added weight, despite getting enough exercise. I'm also finding myself to be an occasion eater, like certain sporting events or maybe times of year where in years gone by I ate this/that, almost like tradition that I must repeat the same this year or go big on it. My portion control is pretty poor. On the flipside i'm not a snacker and I don't eat breakfast (pros and cons to that I guess) so I eat literally twice a day. Not up on fruit and on occasions I do buy it to reduce my appetite for meals, it doesn't work and in the end I just see it as forcing food down I'm not hungry for ironically. Motivated myself to go on a walk in the Malverns a couple of nights ago and to wake up at 3.30 this morning to drive a couple of hours and walk the Brecon Beacons. Did between 30/35km there so with a bit of luck i'll be 96/97kg tomorrow. But like you or somebody else mentioned its now about sticking to it which I don't trust myself to do lol

Fair enough.

I find it incredibly hard to understand how or what exactly he has done so far this term that doesn't just reinforce what we already knew but I suppose, as with any cult, that sort of thing will happen over time.

I'd love to know what did it for them.

Grown adults who try to copy the Oasis hairstyle and dress sense should be euthanized.

Even more unpopular perhaps, Oasis are bang average & Liam Gallagher acts like an annoying child.

Would probably draw the line at euthanized but yes they're a crap band and their fans are very cringey

I hadn't properly listened to The Reytons before, but I heard a few of their songs earlier. I couldn't stop laughing. It sounded like the most brazen ripoff of the first two Arctic Monkeys albums I've ever heard. There are thousands of bands playing in pubs that sound identical to that. How are they so popular?

Rubbish all cars are fair game to destruction by any pedestrian at any point. Motorists should know their place.  :P

I think that about a lot of music fashion and stuff, I get it until you’re about the age of 24. After that, it surely starts to feel a bit weird to follow music fashion and some of the lyrics? I dunno maybe just me.

Same with some of the bands themselves. I’ve often wondered when you see these guys in their 40s still singing songs they wrote when they were 19 years old if they still think it’s a bit weird or not. Like a band like Blink-182 or Arctic Monkeys and the like who had very teenage-y lyrics. Must be weird now they’re all in their 30s and 40s and still having to play these songs on tour, they can’t have much connection with the lyrics anymore and must find some of them really cringey, I wonder how much deep down they hate a lot of those songs as they grow up. Let alone when some of the old members of Led Zeppelin or Rolling Stones still have to sing these 50 year old songs where they scream “baby” and “child” every other word now they’re all about 80 years old.

I have serious football fatigue and I've enjoyed watching other sports this summer, like last year with the Olympics.

Funnily enough though when I say this to my bourgie friends in the context of the 'Lionesses', I'm met with a kind of awkward silence and attempts to quickly move the conversation on to more acceptable topics. I'd probably get hearty agreement if I said the same thing about the men and the incessant football's coming home hype.

I am terrified that someone from Sports Joe is going to stop me on the street and a video of me struggling to name a single women's footballer will go viral, leading to my ostracism from polite society.

I have to say the people that go out of their way to stress how much they hate women’s football are extremely insecure

Those who actively criticise it agree, same as those who refuse to accept some people just aren't interested in it

I don't see why people should hate it. I think its good that its growing etc, I just really can't get into it myself.

That said, I really struggle to get into mens international football too although thats probably because Gareth Southgate has ruined it for me.
