Glimpses of promise if we can have a more consistent defence and any improved midfield.

Corrected for you.

Drinky & Kante

We'd shown bits of that type of play for a few years though, it seems to be a training routine or drill which some of the lads keep in the locker or dont feel confident enough to pull of in game often enough -  There was a moment in the closing stages of the 5-3 against United where we tore them apart similarly

Where did it all go wrong? Get a grip man.

We beat Sevilla and played in the quarter finals of the champions league a few months ago. Less than 18 months we lifted the premier league trophy something that Tottenham and Liverpool fans have never seen their club do.

Reality check and history lesson needed for some of our gloomy fans.

I'm quite clearly referring to our style of play which can also be linked to progressive football. From about March 2016 up to now we have played some horrid though effective (counter attacking) football with only a couple of exceptions (Man City and Liverpool at home last season).

Before that period of time our all round play was far better and far easier on the eye, that's beyond dispute. We were aggressive and steam rollering teams like Newcastle and Swansea every week and putting them to bed in the opening 20 minutes with slick one, two touch passing, moving and clinical finishing.

I’ve watched it a few times to work out what would of lead to a goal. I think it’s an extra Okazaki pass to Drinky when he’s on the edge of the box just before he gets taken out.

Drinkwater didn't get in to the opponents box once last season in that manner, did Kante really allow us to just all bomb forward and he'd sort it out if the opposition made a break? Frightening.

How was that not a peno?

I suppose because the fcuking ref never gave it, I'd gladly have taken a penno for it, the skillful build up deserved at least that :)
