Stadt Posted 26 September 2017 Posted 26 September 2017 I'm not exaggerating when I say that if we scored that would have been the best goal ever
Wymsey Posted 26 September 2017 Posted 26 September 2017 Glimpses of promise if we can have a more consistent defence and an improved midfield.

Jaspa Posted 26 September 2017 Posted 26 September 2017 Drinky & Kante We'd shown bits of that type of play for a few years though, it seems to be a training routine or drill which some of the lads keep in the locker or dont feel confident enough to pull of in game often enough - There was a moment in the closing stages of the 5-3 against United where we tore them apart similarly

Nigel Graham Pearson Posted 26 September 2017 Posted 26 September 2017 Rubbish. Why waste all that time getting the ball into the box when you can have Wes hoof it from the safety of the CB position? The shortest distance between two points is always a straight line.
420Hashish Posted 26 September 2017 Posted 26 September 2017 It's amazing how someone was able to edit Leicester's jersey onto Barca's. Oh wait, I can see Okazaki falling again lmao.
Benguin Posted 27 September 2017 Posted 27 September 2017 I was sat pretty close to this, I'd already lost my shit at Vardy's. Very nearly the best goal ever.
The whole world smiles Posted 27 September 2017 Posted 27 September 2017 Where did it all go wrong? Get a grip man. We beat Sevilla and played in the quarter finals of the champions league a few months ago. Less than 18 months we lifted the premier league trophy something that Tottenham and Liverpool fans have never seen their club do. Reality check and history lesson needed for some of our gloomy fans.
The whole world smiles Posted 27 September 2017 Posted 27 September 2017 Also it was pretty negative football somtimes that year. For every Man city away there was a Newcastle or Southampton at home.
lgfualol Posted 27 September 2017 Posted 27 September 2017 We completed more passes in that one move than we have all this season

I'm quite clearly referring to our style of play which can also be linked to progressive football. From about March 2016 up to now we have played some horrid though effective (counter attacking) football with only a couple of exceptions (Man City and Liverpool at home last season). Before that period of time our all round play was far better and far easier on the eye, that's beyond dispute. We were aggressive and steam rollering teams like Newcastle and Swansea every week and putting them to bed in the opening 20 minutes with slick one, two touch passing, moving and clinical finishing.
joachim1965 Posted 27 September 2017 Posted 27 September 2017 Some of the football we played during our title winning season was breathtaking.

AjcW Posted 27 September 2017 Posted 27 September 2017 I’ve watched it a few times to work out what would of lead to a goal. I think it’s an extra Okazaki pass to Drinky when he’s on the edge of the box just before he gets taken out.
Ric Flair Posted 27 September 2017 Posted 27 September 2017 Drinkwater didn't get in to the opponents box once last season in that manner, did Kante really allow us to just all bomb forward and he'd sort it out if the opposition made a break? Frightening.
weller54 Posted 27 September 2017 Posted 27 September 2017 And a couple of years later, you end up marrying....
lestajigs Posted 27 September 2017 Posted 27 September 2017 We have got to be grateful we are in the premier league, I'd say rewind 9 years that's when it all went wrong! Be happy how far we have come
