m4DD0gg Posted 9 October 2017 Posted 9 October 2017 Ah well, may as well get use to a pairing of King and Amartay for when we are back in the championship.

Poor kid has has been played into the ground and his form has suffered because of this in the last few weeks. How do you play a footballer into the ground by October?

It is a fair point that, but I don't see our other CM's doing better than Wilf, in terms of tackling at least. I think it is very tough on CM's to play in a 2, when you mainly face a 3, even at the best of times.
STUHILL Posted 9 October 2017 Posted 9 October 2017 Amartey/Iborra then please and change of formation so all they have to do is sit in front of the back 4 or 3

I know people get hard about his tackling stats but im not sure how much it helps making just under 3 tackles per game and 1 interception, if you give the ball away over 12 times per game. Thats a minus 8 negative. He is alright but he is no way near the player some make him out to be. Lower prem standard, marginally better than Amartey on current form.

He leaves nothing in the tank on match days. He really is being run in to the ground. Especially in a two man midfield. I'm not surprised he's crocked. Iborra and Silva have always played in a 3 by the way.

Did you not watch the Liverpool or Chelsea games when we conceded because he couldn't be arsed? If he is tired his fitness levels must be shocking, eight matches in two months and he's been ran into the ground? That's as standard as it gets these days.

There's a lot of hate in this post for Ndidi. Firstly, look at it game by game - how much ground did he cover in 90mins? How many games did he play in a row? You're thinking about when we had Kante, he's exceptionally fit and I haven't seen anyone like him. N'didi covers a lot of ground in each game (may not make the right decisions, but he is always on the move). That will hit anyone's fitness. He is up and down all the time as his partners in the centre aren't cutting it at the moment. Keeping that up in the premier league pace the style he's been asked to is an exceptional achievement that only Kante can do. So, you could argue that you expect Albrighton should be able to run up and down at full throttle all game, Vardy can keep going at full speed for 90mins every game? Morgan wouldn't get tired chasing strikers? What about Okazaki? He very rarely lasts 90mins

Really Matt? imo that's over critical Not saying he deserves plaudits for every game but he has played every game -( inc two elf cups) and against some of the best midfielders in Europe 2 v 3.

He very rarely lasts 90mins I've tried to find out how much ground he covers but unfortunately there isn't a website that does it, if you have one let me know, there is no "hate" in the post, just pointing out some facts, if you want to see "hate" have a look at the stuff directed towards King who even somehow gets blamed by fans for Ndidi's shocking passing. As I say, he's played 8 matches this season with barely any in midweek, if he is "ran into the ground" already we have a serious problem with his fitness.
Koke Posted 10 October 2017 Posted 10 October 2017 We sure as feck used up all our good luck regarding injuries in 15/16.
Sunbury Fox Posted 10 October 2017 Posted 10 October 2017 Staggered by some of the negativity on here about Ndidi. He was crucial to our upturn in form from February onwards last season and, for me, is an excellent player already, with loads of time to get even better. At his age Kanté was playing non league in France, not being the mainstay of a Prem team's midfield and playing in the CL. Yes, his form has suffered a bit this season but you get blips with young players. With a decent partner or partners in midfield he'll soon be back to the level we saw last season. Lay off him.

He has bags of potential, i wouldnt argue against that but that doesnt mean his short comings are not up for discussion does it? Gray and Amartey get criticised, so he shouldnt be immune from it. The fact that he has proven he is better, is why its strange that its not highlighted more tbh.
foxy boxing Posted 10 October 2017 Posted 10 October 2017 Ndidi is to undergo Leicester medical checks to find the extent of his injury. Ndidi collapsed in a heap of pain clutching his hamstring muscle after attempting a shot! the super eagles gave Nddid a clean bill of health but Leicester City want him examined to ascertain if he has picked up a hamstring injurry! oh what fun it is to be a Leicester midfielder!

I would say he's earned more slack than those two because he's performed much better than either of them in the past.

Thats where we differ then, as long as players are playing to the best of their abilities i'm happy. If i know they have more and its not showing, i want to know why.
filbertway Posted 10 October 2017 Posted 10 October 2017 Interesting while looking up for info on his injury.

Lambert09 Posted 10 October 2017 Posted 10 October 2017 We would all be in love if he had come from the academy. Hard to remember his age at times but he's still got so much time I develop.

filbertway Posted 10 October 2017 Posted 10 October 2017 I'm not really judging any of our players that have proven themselves to be capable footballers. While we insist on basically dropping the edge of our box and then smashing the ball as far forward as possible I put all blame on the coaching staff for encouraging these awful tactics.
