She had a great technique and really put Claude at ease. I’ve watched it a few times and paused it too to really assess her performance and it is really positive.
dooflip Posted 28 October 2017 Posted 28 October 2017 At first I wasn’t over keen on him Coming I’ll be honest. but after giving it a few days to sink in I actually welcome it. hes an unfashionable, relatively obscure appointment - that can’t be denied. but he seems in a similar mould to Ranieri as a person. He has also overachieved with mediocre teams; doing the best with what he has had at his disposal. He also has a proven track record with underacheiving players and I hope that he will have the same effect on several of our players who have developed bad attitudes since the title win. we could have done a hell of a lot worse with half the names we were linked with. another thing to bare in mind is that with certain conditions (rudkin dof and Appleton assistant) rock solid and non negotiable, we would have struggled to find someone better to accept the job. i like Appleton, he’s done a cracking job and he’s a likeable character, but in stipulating any incoming manager had to keep him as their number 2 I believe we severely narrowed down the candidates that would have taken the job. The ancellottis and Pellegrinis would have wanted their own staff I am pretty sure.
Mint23 Posted 28 October 2017 Posted 28 October 2017 I’ve got to admit he was a little way down my list of ideal candidates but the more I hear about him the more I’m warming to him coming here. It’ll be nice to see us trying to keep hold of the ball a bit more and play it out from the back comfortably. If he could get Southampton to a cup final and an 9th place finish just think what he might be able to do with a team that’s got the qualities of Mahrez, Vardy and Silva in it, all 3 would walk into that Southampton team.

I'd take it for the interviews alone.
