Happy Eligibility Days Eve to all!

Exciting isn't it. Can't wait to see him run out on to the pitch tomorrow in a blue shirt - any confirmation yet on squad number?

He's not eligible to play NYD.

He can' be registered until NYD therefore isn't able to play until the 2nd as I understand it.

So the 1st match day squad he is able to be part off would be Fleetwood.

So I wouldn't expect to see him until Chelsea away.

As for squad number for those asking. Pretty sure he confirmed he is taking 14 as his 31 his used here I think.

No but his transfer comes through - he just can't play on the same day.

No competitive football for four months. He may be on the bench at Stamford bridge but tbh, I doubt they will risk rushing him into starting and risking a muscle injury after what he's been through. maybe Watford at home. If they have managed to get him playing regularly behind closed doors then that may change.

Wouldn't expect him to start no.

But I wouldn't think they will risk him at Fleetwood so Chelsea looks the most likely option to get him in a matchday sqaud.

He will be keen as he has 18 games to get himself to a world cup.

Not sure if u23s have a home game in the next 2 weeks they can get him match time, maybe by moving it to the kp.

I swear if we use an excuse like he isn’t ready to play a match against Fleetwood I’m going to end up in hospital.

If he isn’t ready to play football then nobody in the history of football will be ready.

Feel sorry for him the amount of hassle he's had to put up with. Can't help thinking though that in our desparation on here, that he's been overhyped a little and won't be the next messiah. He's 28yrs of age and seemingly we were the only serious bidder, it's taken quite a time in his career to be fancied then and our other player from the Portuguese league, equally as well hyped, has hardly pulled up any trees. Musa also was hyped up but we have found to our cost that everyday football in the Russian league is not in any way comparable to ours. At best, like Iborra he will need a period of adjustment particularly as he hasn't played any form of competitive football for a long time. Presumably though he's been scouted and followed by the same team as Maguire so that's encouraging.

He must surely be starting against Fleetwood. Lower league opposition to start off with?! If he isn’t ready for that game he isn’t going to be ready for Chelsea is he.

Lower league opposition with heavy tackles and sometimes late tackles flying in. :nigel:

Exactly - little to gain and a lot to lose

he would be better off in an U23 game - of which there  are a couple upcoming

That’s a little disparaging to Fleetwood to say the least. It wasn’t so long ago we were a League One side.

Looking forward to seeing Silva play tomorrow against the udders. I’ve heard the victorious AFCON boys of Nigeria will be back too. We’ve missed Musa.
