Iborra defended the near post at Stoks corners preventing the ball getting in the middle. King hesitated stood on the post then wanderred off and didnt head the ball clear hence allowing ball onto Crouchies head

Once Silva's in we've got the most handsome midfield in the league. Doesn't get better than that.

Chuck in Fuchs resemblance to Ryan Reynolds. Then Harry Maguire with an impossibly square head like the creature from the black lagoon.

A player that was desperately needed to calm things down, hold a position and look to pass the ball around. In the first half it was so noticeable that we, as a team, are so used to rushing the ball around as Iborra, several times, waited and patiently knocked the ball around and visibly urging the team to get forward.

I know King is getting stick (as usual) but none of the replacements such as him, Amartey and James are of the same type or quality. Any time he was missing we were losing a huge influence.

I could hear the @Suzie the Fox uncontrollable screams on the match thread when he scored.

Not sure if it was an orgasm or if she’d dropped her Gin bottle :D

I don't want to say which but i had to change my wet panties at half time. :o

We really only have two midfield players in Iborra and N'Didi ... we cannot rely on King and James to cover for them.

Think come January when Silva is eligible we also need another decent midfielder.

As much as i like King hes no replacement for Iborra. Just wandering if its time for Amartey to come into the team as a CDM if Iborra's injured. I didn't see his Leeds performance but everybody was raving about it.

Absolutely, makes me laugh how quickly people jump on a player for looking "too slow" then deem them not good enough for the team.

I always appreciate a player that can put a foot on the ball and make time for themselves. Would love us to be able to sack off King and bring in player that can have a positive effect on our performances. 4 good central midfielders would be the dream.

We fell apart a bit without him. He's becoming quite key I think and looks a good buy. Offers a presence, control and a calming influence, and based on today - a goal threat. He actually gets into some really decent attacking positions and I fancy him to score a few more.

Looking like a great signing, and for £12m or so a really good buy. Offers a presence in the midfield and is so composed on the ball.

Hmm £12m, wasnt that what we sold Schlupp for ?

I'm coming to the conclusion that some of his 'poorer passes' are actually very good passes that haven't been picked up by his team-mates. Ie. Mentally, he's a second in front of the others. Of course, there will be some he just gives away...but more often than not, I think his reading of the game is too quick for the others.

Amartey and Iborra are miles apart in terms of composure, skill and mental quickness. We'd notice a mega difference replacing one for the other.

imo.
