Another game without conceeding.

That's 5 consecutive games without a goal against. In fact we haven't conceeded this year.

I still would like us to buy another RB and I wouldn't be against another young great CB like Gibson but I would be disappointed if Simpson, Fuchs or Wes are more than backups unless the present back 4 really mess up. That's a bit tough on Wes but maybe his time is drawing to a close and he can accept being a non-playing club captain.

Really happy with our back 4 today.

I need to add that Ndidi and Iborra (as well as Albrighton) have been helping the defence very well from midfield too.

Wes has had a decent season to be fair to him but makes no sense to break up a winning combination. Really hope we can keep Maguire for a few years at least

I think wr should be looking at keeping Maguire for the rest of his career. definite captain material. He looks a cert for the World Cup too in this form.

Wilf is incredible for his age. Going to the very top that boy imo

Not many, seem to appreciate it when one reads some posts...Especially Albrighton..Ndidi/Iborra/ now james

more the expected obvious, but when not driving forward, our midfield looks more composed under Puel.

We might be seeing one of those situations where due to injuries we have found a better solution to the one we had. Clean sheets are the most obvious metric, but it's a lot more than that. Dragovic and Maguire are in my opinion a very good combination because both can play it out. So if Maguire does get pressed, he can pass to Dragovic who can perform almost the same role. I think our passing out from the back today was probably the best I've ever seen from a Leicester team.

Chilwell could become England's first choice left back. He's very good going forwards on the overlap and I think he is OK defensively too. He's started less than 20 games for the first team and is very young but already looks like a Premier League quality player.

Amartey is the one I'd have reservations over as though he's physically immense, his touch on the ball isn't that good. Compared to Chilwell he can't develop play in the same way. However, to be fair to the guy he has looked very steady in every game he has started since Simpson got injured. He hasn't let anyone down this season other than his red card against United.

As a "unit" including Wilf and Kasper, this combination of players looks very solid indeed. Watford's Andre Grey effort aside, I can't remember being tested too much, and it was much the same away to Chelsea last week.

The Defense is looking stronger now that we have more pace and ability in there. There all more comfortable on the Ball now and with the support of the Midfield we're looking really strong.

Morgan could have a job getting back into the Team and god knows what we do with Huth. But this is progress under Puel.

Great to see and long may it continue.

Dont forget that back 4 includes not one of our title winning players ....    and we have 2 very expensive and talented midfielders sat on the bench cus others are playing better ...     I’m on a fookin high !!  ....    :scarf:

I was saying in a transfer thread about needing more backup (Or improvement, if we can get it improvement, we can always improve) and people didn't seem to understand me.

This defence is doing well, very well! But don't be blinded by it - The potential problems are there to be seen.

Amartey has come in and done well but imo he's not a RB - Therefore we need a new RB in with Simpson out, it's a case of what if's but what if Amartey gets injured - Then where do we go?

Dragovic has come in and again done very well, in the said transfer thread I was talking about perhaps I was being a little harsh on him, Maguire is brilliant, I love him, but with Wes out, Huth is finished imo if either Dragovic or Maguire get injured or suspended (I panicked a little bit when Maguire looked like he had a problem with his groin) where do we go then?

I don't think Fuchs has long left, we have Chilwell so that's fine, I think in the summer we could be looking for a LB as back up though.

Nothing is wrong with the defence as such, but I feel we a desperately lacking in strength and depth.

Drag and Mag being able to keep the ball means less shots too. I'msure if Wes played the last few games we would have faced more shots because he'd toepoke it to the other team all the time.

That will be the toughest task. I thnk we can hold on him for one more season but after thatit will be very unlikely.

DF 23.5 average age of Amati (23 years old), dragovich (age 26), Maguire (24 years old), chiller (21 years old) line is producing results.
No Premier win when Defender will miss is the average age of 32.0 and is caused by the rise of the young. Dragovich players may win the transfers.

The old guard are bound to be getting twitchy watching all these clean sheets. There are some interesting decisions for Claude to make.

I bet Wes is cycling his balls off, so he can get back in before we get any more strong defensive performances! lol

Would love if we can sign Dragović permanently at the end of the season. Amartey also deserves a chance at CB but he's been doing well filling in for Simmo

we have got to be snapping up Dragovic for £16m (if reports are to be believed). Especially if we have some kind of first option on him.

Clear to see how good he is individually as well as the partnership he has struck up with Maguire. Granted 2 of the games were against Fleetwood but when you look at how many Premier League sides conceded against lower league clubs in the FA Cup, it goes to show that with a regular run of games you can pick up some good form and also form good links with other players; in this case Maguire.

Happily sign him as a replacement for Morgan and that's the CB partnership sorted. Would be happier with a more composed RB that doesn't make me nervous (Amartey), especially given that Simpson isn't getting any younger.

A back four of Chilwell, Dragovic, Maguire and a new RB and I'll be fairly satisfied going in to next season, especially if there's European football on the cards too.

Totally agree but I think young Daniel played extremely well today ...     I have no worries about him now ...    wow ! ...   how things have changed ! ..   :)
