He can’t beat a man

Therefore he either runs into trouble or crosses from so far out it goes out of play or into the keepers arms

He was released by Villa as this was his position

When he’s the on left

He runs more effectively down that side and cuts inside onto his right and swing balls into the box

Therefore he doesn’t have to beat a man and can use his right foot to much better effect and therefore better quality crosses

For example today we’ve created one chance where we hit the bar in the one minute Albrighton was on the left, nice play with Chilwell leading to a corner which he whipped in from the left. It’s braindead management to play him there and I’m tired of moaning about it.

He might have the odd moment but it’s a waste playing him right when he’s infinitely more effective on the left. Moving over to that side saved his career.

He's traditionally been better on the right, in my opinion. His crosses find their man more often when he's there and I disagree that he cannot go by his man.

This season he's not played there much, but I guess he hasn't been too influential in the main this past month.

He’s either class or awful

But his work rate never changes, even though he was poor tonight he still ran himself into the ground.

Hes been one of our better players this season and certainly one of our most improved.

normally after he has an awful game he has one of his best ever so here’s hoping

My point is he doesn't perform when he's switched onto the right. Luckily it's been quite rare as we usually have Mahrez there but I knew without him tonight we'd end up with Albrighton playing right wing even though he's poor every time.

Makes you think was albrighton originally not in the plan for today's game but had to drop in for mahrez leaving him unprepared?

But saying that you can't say he can't play right wing after 3!!!!! Years of everyone saying he should get into the England team. Stupid knee jerk reaction

Lol.

He's a winger and was shit tonight. Like the rest of the team to be fair. Be it on the left or on the right he knows the drill and it's not the first time. As one already said he's either good or bad.

He's like Okazaki, maximize their ability in games or are easily nullified. You can usually tell what you're going to get with either after the opening 10-15 minutes. Personally I'd sub both of them when they start badly, it's pointless them playing.

The points been missed again. He's played right wing sparingly over 3 years because we've usually had Mahrez there but as soon as he's out or subbed off he gets switched over, even though he can't perform there. Left wing he gets away with it because he doesn't have to take anyone on and can come inside, performs much more effectively.

I think he's marginally less shit on the right, as at least he doesn't have to cut back onto his other foot and remove the element of surprise. He shouldn't be starting for us on either wing though, just not good enough.
