According to the merc, he won't be at training tomorrow and Puel sounds as though he's now moved on and will be concentrating on the players that are with him - not Mahrez - he must be sick having changed the team to focus on Mahrez instead of Vardy.

Mahrez isn't even talking to the team and is leaving his "representatives" to discuss. If nothing comes of it City are going to contact the PFA for help in talks.

What is there to discuss?

He can't play for another team until the summer and he's contracted to us.

Just get your arse back and do the job you're being paid handsomely to do. You can have another hissy fit in the summer if you want.

Winker.

So he's gone on strike! What a W*****.

Why would he need to play or give 100% if the deal is signed and sealed. He would risk getting injured.

And for those of you telling us how great he has played this season I think you have short memories. Before his hair colour change he wasn't very good at all. And last season he was easily the most disappointing player in the team pre and post Ranieri sacking.

So Vardy was shit last season then? First half of the season he didn't do jack all, but people still praise him because he had a good second half.

Also what you just said just proves how terrible Shakespeare was, and has nothing to do with the players' abilities.

Why do you care if he comes back? You constantly criticize his performances, so shouldn't you be happy that another player will get a shot?

If he's still absent without permission then we shouldn't be "seeking talks with his representatives".

Don't pay him for every single day he's been off. Fine him additional on top if you can. When he's stopped being a petulant little child then he can come back to us.

If he plays his arse off in training and apologies for the disgraceful behaviour of the last week then he can have a chance back in the side in order to play his way into a move in the summer (provided his team mates accept him back).

If he doesn't then we'll pick discussions up with any interested parties where they left with Man City: £75m+ please. If there are no interested parties at that rate then he can stick around in the reserves for a couple of years and ruin his career.

it's going to take for one club to hold firm, disregard the transfer fee they could get and just let a player rot for the duration of their contract for the power to shift back to the clubs. Pulis did a half decent job on Berahino and Mahrez should proceed with caution.

Chill playafanboy. Vardy was quite shit first half of last season, Mahrez was shit all season - you seem to blame everyone except Mahrez

Mahrez should "come back" because he's a Leicester City player with a handsome contract. I only critisize his shit performances because he can do so much more - just like I criticised every player when they played shit last season. I am happy that Diabaté, Sliva and Iheanacho are getting a chance whilst Mahrez cheats the Leicesterfans.

If you were a Leicester fan you'd be unhappy too. I'm surprised that you're not unhappy with Mahrez being as he isn't living upto your high expectations but then again I suppose it's easier just to blame everyone else and not the man breaking his contract.

This criticism of fans of this club criicising it's most gifted player is getting old. As if it's something only associated with this club. Go onto any fans forum and you will find the same. Chelsea fans criticise Hazard, Arsenal fans use to criticise Sanchez, Man City fans criticise De Bruyne and United fans when they won the treble criticise at some point every single player of that squad.

Its football, it's what fans do. The better the player, the harsher the criticism because the higher the expectancy! It's the way of any sports fans make up. Let someone outside criticise that same player and it's usually met with an avalanche of abuse.

Its a weak argument.

I love Mahrez. My favourite player, quite easily in my top three of all time city players (JJ when he first broke through was probably the only one who got me off my seat in the same way). However, that does not mean he doesn't warrant criticism at times.

As the song goes

Stop your messing around (ah-ah-ah)
Better think of your future (ah-ah-ah)
Time you straighten right out (ah-ah-ah)
Creating problems in town (ah-ah-ah)

Mahrez
A message to you, Mahrez
A message to you

Stop your fooling around (ah-ah-ah)
Time you straighten right out (ah-ah-ah)
Better think of your future (ah-ah-ah)
Else you'll wind up in jail (ah-ah-ah)

Mahrez
A message to you, Mahrez
A message to you

Stop your messing around (ah-ah-ah)

Better think of your future (ah-ah-ah)
Time you straighten right out (ah-ah-ah)
Creating problems in town (ah-ah-ah)

Mahrez
A message to you, Mahrez
A message to you, Mahrez
Oh, it's a message to you, Mahrez
Yeah, it's a message to you, Mahrez

I'm in agreement with Chris Sutton. I'm pretty sure that's an early sign of some neurological diseases, isn't it?

lol

He is right

I feel really bad for Puel. He's heaped praise on Mahrez, given Mahrez loads of freedom. Mahrez has just thrown it in his face like a bitch

I'd say Claude knew full well what he was dealing with when he arrived. He needed mahrez on his side to start with.

He must have been aware that it was gonna get awkward with mahrez one way or another.

I see the Algerian coach also piping up with "Mahrez deserves better than Leicester". He deserves a better country than Algeria too, like France but hey we can't win them all.

The Algerian manager just wants some brownie points with mahrez for the future (which he assumes won’t be here!)

yes he does. and i'm algerian.

but make sure to not throw the same "he's too big for you" talk if you got offended by it in the first place. glass houses, aye? i see both perspectives and i'm not mad at all when people say that he's too big for the algerian NT because he is!

That's the irony, it's fine for the manager to talk about Leicester however the same applies to his team.

Probably just wants him to stop going AWOL and missing vital world cup qualifiers in future.

Jesus I thought what mark mcgee did was bad, but fuk me What mardyez has done is beyond that and i for one hope that all the interested clubs still hoping to sign mardyez in the summer can see what a petulant little boy he is and think twice about signing him.

i dont want to see mardyez in a LCFC shirt again.
