Currently supping a Titanic Milk Stout. A classic.

Y'know I always find it so funny that Guinness is so popular with so many people who, at least in my circles anyway, don't ususlly drink stouts or porters usually.

Did the Bermondsey Beer Mile yesterday.

Some decent small brewery stuff along with more commercial beers.

Really good vibe - would highly recommend

A very good day out despite all the Bermondsey losers

We did a fairly standard route, I think.

Started off at Borough Market for some breakfast and then did:

Southwark Brewing

Barrel Project

Billy Franks

Hiver

Moor Bar

Cloudwater

Bianca Road

Mash Paddle

Then headed back and went in a couple of them again on the way home.

Was speaking to the owner of Mash paddle and he says he opens up his brewery to home brewers to use - there was a couple of benches with all in one mash brewing units and loads of fermenters. So you can make and ferment the beer on his premises. Was a bit pissed at this point so didn't get round to asking him what happened after that - whether it was sold in the bar or you could somehow keg or barrel it somehow and take it home.

I don't like either.

I just won a raffle for a half-dozen imperial and pastry stouts at a benefit for Ukrainian relief

Some of these are apparently rare and all should kick ass.  I think I can make them last a month -- if I hide them from my wife.

2 yakima red, 2 old original and a beacon hill. All everards, all nice. I’ve always wondered why everards haven’t tried to offer their cask beyond Leicestershire. I’m obviously entirely biased but I always enjoy their ales

Mahou was in Morrisons (the export 5.1% stuff actually brewed in Spain). 2 for £20 (12×330ml in each pack).

One of Spain's finest, memories of Benidorm! Will be washing tonight's game down with a few of them.

I really like Old Original, it’s probably my favourite of the style.

They do. One of my locals in Derbyshire is an Everard's boozer and they've a fair few elsewhere too.

Mind you, I had a pint of Tiger in Blackpool once and it was grim. May have been because it was Spoons rather than because it travels badly though...
