Nah, that’s irrelevant.

Regardless of if Carragher was being filmed, goaded, abused or whatever, you just don’t spit at anybody. Ever.

Irrelevant he was putting his daughters life at risk ? Really ? I’m not using it to excuse the scouser I’m saying who was the one acting dangerous ? The one who had a child in car and driving like that for me is the issue

ffs Carragher gobs on a kid because a United fan has been honking his horn and shouting 2-1 a few times.

The amount of people I've seen defending him is unbelievable.

I’m not defending him , he was bang out of order but only one person was endangering lives and that was the driver of the car with phone on one hand and eyes off the road , both parties should be sacked maybe

dunno tbh.

spitting is disgusting yes - no need for it in any circumstance.

BUT also - **** that guy winding him up tbh. who the hell do people think they are - just because carragher is a celebrity doesn't give you the right to drive alongside him, goad him, etc.

too many self-entitled ***** with their phones out trying to wind people up like it's ok - it's not.

also, **** that **** for driving with his phone in his hand, videoing, whilst his 14 year old kid is in the seat next to him. 6 points and a fine, IIRC?

I'm with you there tbh, I'm not even a fan if carragher tbh and it isn't right at all what he did, but something is wrong with the bloke filming it all tbh, clearly filming it while driving and that is against the law by all all counts,

And filming it too since his probably got what he wanted was a reaction.

Think the whole situation is messed up and both parties are in the wrong imo,  hopefully he doesn't lose his job at sky since they'll probably employ someone worse in his place

Don't get the "sack him" stuff, who gives a shit honestly.

Epitomises the current way of thinking and basically legitimises the action?

Where are the rules and a moral code to live by?

If you don’t ‘give a shit’, who is gonna ‘give a shit’?

I don't really care if he's sacked or not. He and the dad are both wankers for different reasons and neither should use the other to deflect what arseholes they are.

No-one knows who the dad is, so he'll get away with it. Carragher is a special type of moron to spit at a car with a kid in the passenger seat who didn't say or film anything.

Keys & Gray were sacked directly after the Sian Massey/Karen Brady stuff, before all the other stuff was uncovered weren't they?

No it doesn't, the fact is it's got nothing to do with me or you. Why should I care if someone I don't know spits on another gobby **** I don't know.

The law of the land.

The police and the courts and the people involved. If he's done something wrong, then the police can deal with it. If that person makes a complaint then I'm sure they will as there is enough evidence to prove the case, he then gets punished accordingly.

I don't believe in Kangaroo courts or punishments being selected by people on the internet. Suggesting anyone loses their livelihood because of that is ridiculous, I don't care if he's famous or rich or some bloke working in a factory living on minimum wage. A warning, a reprimand, sure... losing their job, no it's ridiculous.

Oh right and Carragher wasn't also endangering lives by sticking his head out of a moving car, looking directly at a 14 year old and gobbing in her face?

Guy needs to get done for using phone whilst driving, etc. Putting his daughters safety at risk and Carragher needs to be punished and muzzled for spitting.

Both in the complete wrong and both should get punishment.

Feel sorry for the daughter though. How embarrassing!

The law of the land means Carragher could face a charge of assault.

I don't necessarily think that he's one of the worst pundits around, but he's surely one of the hardest to listen to with his thick scouse accent..

If he does then justice is served.

But for an incident outside of work, the in house punishment should also fit the crime accordingly, for me it's nothing like a sacking offence. Sick of the mob mentality that demands sackings etc on social media because people WANT to be offended by things.

For a normal bloke? No.

But if I were running Sky I wouldn't like one of the main faces of my most successful money maker being a known gozzer.

I would imagine they've slapped his wrists this morning and told him to watch his behaviour. Ex-Footballers like him are ten a penny and it wouldn't exactly take much for Sky to bring in another footballer to take his role.

My point was that whatever the driver was doing is irrelevant in terms of how Carragher reacted. I agree the driver is also a cvnt but for me the thread is more about what Carragher did - regardless of the drivers reckless behaviour.

This is about someone in the public eye who has history of having a short fuse who can't control his anger. Regardless of if he's sacked or not he needs help. Gobbing at people however much you're provoked is the lowest of the low IMHO.

If enough people say he should be sacked then he will be, they will always bow to public pressure. International television companies will be on to his agent as we speak.

Such a stupid thing to do, not like its secretly being filmed. Its right there in his face and he knows this will be all over the internet and papers.

The only person with a brain in that video is the poor victim, the child.

Carragher and the dad should be ashamed.

We're talking about an industry that regularly ignores racism, sexism, violence etc. The whole thing will be forgotten in a couple of weeks with zero harm done. If they sack him, it's nothing more than bowing to the mob in the press and social media who will all call for him to be sacked, just so they can drag a story out or feel like they've got some power.

It's a scummy thing to do, hope the coppers do him for whatever they can. But I'm sat listening to Joey Barton on the radio talking about it... if that bloke can still get a gig for some of the stuff he's done, then it's bloody hypocritical for any channel to be sacking people if they regularly hire people who've broken the law.

How many Sky Sports News presenters have been done for drunk driving. How many lines has Merson admitted to doing. Collymore, Wise, Niall Quinn, Charlie Nicholas all been in trouble. Probably more of them have as well.

Fair enough the other bloke hasn't covered himself in glory but all he's doing is taking the piss over a football match. For the Scouser to then launch a gob full of potentially disease ridden saliva into the face of an innocent child is absolutely reprehensible; utterly disgusting. Not only should he be sacked but also charged with several crimes including driving offences and assault. What a vile nasty Scouse bastard.

Kirsty Gallacher got done for drink driving (3 times over the limit), which can potentially kill innocent people, and didn't get sacked.

I don't necessarily want him to be sacked. I'm just playing devils advocate.

It wouldn't surprise me if he was sacked, it wouldn't surprise me if he isn't. Frankly I'm not that bothered.
