You think he should be banned from FT because he doesn’t share your opinion?

Get a grip, ffs.

Not just banned, deleted.

Yeah I'm with @Col city fan here aswell

I actually can't believe somebody is defending what he said tbh

I’m not defending what he said, I’m defending his right to say it without censure.

If making contraversial posts and espousing unpopular opinions is a banning offence then many posters should have been banned a long time ago, Col not least among them.

A football forum that often lets casual racism, homophobia and sexism slide but say something about dogs and we’ll rally together and punish the **** out of you.

?

Fair.

My sister has recently got a Cane Corso, lovely dog and it’s only a pup. But when they take it out for walks with their other dog (Labrador) people get the wrong impression of it and either turn round or cross the road even though they have it on a lead.

I’ve always liked dogs but never considered getting one before but I’m really tempted now.

I can understand the caution through tbf. As the Corso gets more popular it'll start to struggle the same as lots of breeds that have a protective nature when they aren't socialised properly.

I'm sure your mates have raised a lovely dog, certainly looks beautiful mate. But a full sized Corso can be ****ing hench and chavs like the idea because they look scary.

Then when they aren't socialised they're unpredictable with strangers. I wouldn't cross the road to avoid a dog, I might cross the road to avoid an owner.

Harsh because its never, ever the dogs fault. Always the person that raises it.

Oh dear.  A nice pleasant thread about dogs and frequented by dog lovers has been derailed.  Saying the only good dog is a dead dog is not an unpopular opinion it’s an offensive remark ...   designed to piss people of and probably upset some people.  Col’s remark isn’t an unpopular opinion either ..   it’s a reaction.  And where racism and sexism comes into it I’ve no idea.  It doesn’t bother me one way or the other ...  but can we just keep this to dogs, even some strange peoples opinions of them, and not get bogged down with other crap.

I’ve had plenty of bans on here and let me tell you, for writing stuff not in the same league for offensiveness as the only good dog is a dead dog’. Or words to that effect.

I very much hope he gets banned.

Im a lover of all animals, i adore all dogs in their own special way.

However as dogs go, my favourite are the giant breeds, top of the list being the Great Danes. Such loveable placid scooby doo's that have zero clue of there size.

What did you get banned for Col?

Border Collie - ridiculously easy to train as they are more intelligent than 99% of the posters on FT (including me). :D

As my favourite kind of dog isn’t in the list, I casted my vote under “other” ?

Why don’t you start a “What’s your favourite type of Caviar” thread?

I do love a Border Collie, and if I had a massive garden or more time to walk we would definately have got one.  In the meantime we have a lovely GSD girl, and she is a little more lazy!
