Leon Bailey lol lol lol

He’s already said his next move he wants to be a starter if he goes. He’s also expressed his wish to play in the premier league. Would he be guaranteed a start for Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man U & City? The answer imo is no. That leaves us & Everton?

He would be guaranteed a pay rise & can make a name for himself on the biggest stage.

If you don’t try, you don’t get. To many fans on here so we wouldn’t be able to get someone so quickly on here. 9 times out of 10 you may be right. But what do you lose out of trying?

Did anyone see Stoke signing Shaqiri from at the time Champions league winning Bayern Munich? I guarantee so many said they’ll never get him. But they did.

He's being linked with a 70m move to Chelsea after only narrowly missing out on the champions league on goal difference at Leverkusen having been one of the best players in the Bundesliga this year.

He'll walk in to any champions league squad he wants to, he's not coming to Leicester ****ing City is he?

Being linked means nothing. Until there’s a concrete offer on the table. Bailey will also never go for £70m. I would imagine he will go for around £50m. I’m not saying he’s coming but you haven’t answered my question to where is there any harm in trying?

How would you ever know you had a chance unless you tried. If you don’t get him so what? Not like we expected it to happen.

Im down with being realistic, I’m all for it. However I think we need to be a bit more optimistic & stop writing off our chances at every opportunity we get.

The harm is wasting our time chasing unicorns.

Bailey will be one of Europe's hotter properties over the next couple windows unless his form bombs.

We're a crap mid table club, get used to it.

It doesn't mean we have to settle for bollocks like Shaqiri (anyone that wants him here has lost the plot) but it does mean that if we want quality we're going to have to be intelligent and unearth it ourselves. Remember Aranguiz? Bailey would be the same shit all over again. Waste of time chasing.

Last time I heard, Usain Bolt was still available.

How the how we missed him when scouting N'didi I have no idea. When we were linked I watched quite a few of their games and Bailey stood out an absolute mile. Should have done a double deal.

Maybe not but if he doesn’t get many other offers & is determined to play in the premier league where he will start week in week out then I think we have a chance.

The kid seems to have his head screwed on.

tbf we dont really stand a chance of getting him now, we did before he moved to Germany mind and we should have done a double deal with Genk when we signed Ndidi imo

hed cost us almost £50mil im guessing now

Think you're being very unfair to Shaqiri. He's a proven PL player (15 goals/ assists last season, as well as in the top 7 in the league for big chances created, whilst playing in a crap team) and a nailed on starter for a decent international team. Remember that superb goal he scored in the last Euros?  If not, here it is:

I think his technical ability is phenomenal I just think his mental strength and character is largely wank.

People think Mahrez is moody and inconsistent, Shaqiri is on a whole new level.

He’s really not Finners, I’ve met him a couple of times recently and he’s a good bloke. Very misunderstood. He’s arrogant on the pitch, which players with his talent generally are, but off it nothing of the sort.

We couldn't attract Aranguiz and settled for Inler? We hopefully have a little more pull than a crap mid table club but in this window only. I see your point in less impulse for a name just because; and a little more thought.

Even worse, Thomas Lemar was a team mate of Ngolo when we signed him from Caen.

Monaco got him for 3.4m.

I wonder whether on Leverkusen's forums they muse about wishing they did a double deal including Ndidi when they bought Bailey from Genk

If they don't they should. I'd play him over Baumgartlinger or Aranguiz any day of the week.
