Good luck to him, don't really like man city so hopefully he does well as they don't. Apart from when he plays us though. In those games I hope he's shit.

I think we've been a little ripped off there.

More than a little if true

in today’s prices anything less than £100 million is ripping us off

Probably not enough in the current market, but it could be worse.

We need to move on and bring in adequate replacements. I've got a horrible feeling we will end up with Roberts and Maddison though.

I'm getting triggered by all the people saying Mahrez is only a backup or not top class.

I am convinced he will easily bench Sane or Sterling. From what I see of those two is they havent got Mahrez's passing ability and they are equal in terms of scoring. This is in a side that created chance after chance, not with hoofers. Insane.

I think he will really be one of the players of the season.

£60m sounds like a steal to me.  I was expecting £60m plus Roberts possibly more.

I guess the appearance & PL win add ons we’ll get but the CL ones are doubtful.

I agree that £60m is a bit on the low side for Mahrez. I wonder why nobody else is bidding for him. Was the deal struck some time ago?

Has Mahrez said he ONLY wants to go to Man City (i.e. have they forced our hand)?

Is it something to circumvent FFP and the fee quoted hides fees in add-ons and through other channels?

The one positive of losing Mahrez and Slimani is that we'll also lose the hordes of Algerians on social media.

Maybe Man City thought about that and asked us to bring the price down as a result!

Frankly it's worth spending £15m to lose the #freemehrez campaign
