The fella on blue moon who says it’s done was well informed at the end of January

safe to say it will be announced when it suits all parties - perhaps has to wait for the player to return from international duty??

I am not excited about Gray, Diabete or Albrighton.

Lets just hope we reinvest this money wisely.

In my opinion, Diabate will definitely come good for us possibly as soon as next season. Much like when Mahrez began with us, you could always tell that the technical ability is there but being masked by some, at times, very poor decision making. What's to say that Diabate doesn't improve this in the way that Riyad did?

Gray on the other hand, I can't see him getting much better than he currently is and I wouldn't be too disappointed to see him go because you just can't quite see the same ability in him as with Riyad and now Diabate. Maybe I'll be proven wrong with Gray, and if he stays I hope I do.

diabate may well improve lots next season but he will never have Riyad’s natural talent. I agree that decision making is where he needs most coaching but given where he has come from that’s no surprise.

This is tongue in cheek?

Why would it be?

He's "highly-rated" by some, and the potential is there if he just improves on a particular aspect of his game, avoids selling his lifestyle much on social media and grafts to try and change Puel's mind on him.

So, is Mahrez going to leave us before we have a replacement in place?

Of course...That's so we pay an over inflated price for a bang average player silly

I think the commercial world of football know we are after a winger and they we either have or are going to have soon a load of money from the Mahrez sale. Buying his replacement before or after we sell him won't make a bit of difference in terms of the price of his replacement. Just another thing for people to moan about.

All true. I would just prefer (as I’m sure many would) that the club would announce a ‘replacement’ for Mahrez, to soften the blow. It should be part of the agreement we have with Man City. Is that too much to ask, since they’re taking our best player?

On the other hand, if I price isn’t agreed and we go and spend the Mahrez money before we’ve sold him, it gives Man City the incentive to try their luck (again) and make a reduced offer, knowing that we need to sell to balance the books for FFP.

If he does take the no. 26 shirt at Man City as rumoured, I feel that somehow softens the blow a little. Carrying a small piece of his Leicester legacy..

Expect this to be announced by the end of the weekend.

Been told a 4 year deal, £60m with add ons.

Be good to get it all out of the way and move on

We'll get some money after he's made certain amount of appearances, if they win the league and if they win the Champions League.

Know if they ironed out Roberts at 15 million in view of Mahrez for 60?

Thanks for sharing Stan. Pretty disappointed with the fee as a standalone fee, especially as Liverpool have apparently bid €60m for Fekir who hasn't even kicked a ball in the PL let alone won a PL POTY award. I think having payments linked to Man City winning the CL is a big IF. Shame we've succumbed to pressure from one of the so called big boy's.

I don't think Diabate is a lot different to Mahrez when he arrived. But Mahrez has had a learning curve. Diabate has been dropped straight into the prem not the championship.

Hard to say what Diabate has at his you age in 3yrs we could all be saying Mahrez who?

If we get only £60m up front then I think we've got a bad deal. Riyad is an ex player of the year,  has successful UCL experience, is at his peak age and of similar players only Salah, Sané and Sterling got more goals plus assists in the PL last season. He got more than Hazard, David Silva, Eriksen, Alli, etc. If he played for a Big 6 club he'd be going for £100m plus.
