People think this bloke is Klopp MkII when in reality he is a pound shop Warnock.

I think that’s a little harsh. To get Huddersfield promoted and with a good chance of staying up he must have something about him.

No manager has a chance at Leicester until the Player power is broken up.

Heard rumours of this before Shakespeare’s appointment. Not overly pleased, we need a character as we are in a mess?  A

Wenger would be my choice.. but absolutely no chance with that.

Unfortunately I just can't see Wenger wanting to manage another English club and I also think he'd want to take a little bit of a break, besides the fact that were Leicester City! :nono:

Huddersfield are really boring to watch btw.....

Interesting point, Do you think the squad they have should be playing dynamic football?

It could show that he has adapted his style to the situation and players he manages which is undoubtedly Puels biggest mistake so far.

I'm not saying he's a bad manager, like Warnock isn't a bad manager, but because he is Klopps best mate people think his teams play the same way. In reality they are a shithouse team like Burnley and got promoted with a negative goal difference.

Agree with this but I think that's inevitable now. Morgan is not going to be playing next season and I think we should be looking at a keeper aswell. In my opinion Kasper is the 'ring leader' in the whole player power thing.

This is the crux of the matter.

If a 56 year old experienced Puel (who's achieved quite a bit In the game) cant do it then we really do have big problems.

Pretty sure most were signed by him so I think he's built that style

Totally agree

Not sure I agree with the player power statement but dealing with legacy winners who are ageing or not motivated by change requires a strong character and that is key in this appointment - a plan, strong character, experience as a winner and someone who will match the owners and fans by developing the club and not killing it like CP - Benítez, Dyche or Ancelotti would be the types but whether we can attract them remains to be seen but CP has to go now to end the season with hope!

In the championship they played decent football, on their budget what else could he build?

Personally I think it’s a gamble and a year too early for him.

There should be no player power. Yes, have an opinion, but ultimately do as the manager wants and do it with 100% effort. That way if it fails the players can come away with some credit.

Football players, no matter how high profile do NOT run the football club.

People are deluded if they think Benitez and Dyche will roll up here.

Completely deluded.

I'm not sure who we can realistically bring in.  This guy might be ok.  Whatever the decision, we always appear to be taking gambles.  Let's hope this isn't one too many.

Wenger to here is completely delusional

benitez - if he has to leave Newcastle then he will want to work. I expect he would get better offers than us from the continent but he might decide he wants to stay in England. His family home remains near Southport afaik.

I still can't believe no one has said Wenger...

Because there is literally no chance in hell that he will manage another club in England

I'd prefer him over one of the dinosaur English merry-go-round managers. However, not sure he can get us competing for Europe or have what it takes to wake the players up, when a lot of our older lot seem unmotivated or too comfortable.

I wouldn't be so sure of that.

Considering Dyche almost joined before puel you are wrong.

We've missed the boat on Dyche now. He won't leave Burnley now they've made the Europa league. Shame he would have been ideal here

Think he's done a cracking job at huddlesfield. However this is a massive summer for us. I'm not sure a young up and coming manager is the right choice.

Can he attract players?

Can he keep hold of players?

Will he be commanding enough for the strong personalities?

We need to ship out a few players and allow any manager now to bring in there own players to allow the style they want. (Not puel)

His record is not that great, why are we not looking at managers out of work, I know it may be a long shot Luis Enrique, Laurent Blanc, then more likely Marco Silva, Brendan Rogers, if Fulham don't get promoted why not have a punt on their manager.
