Stoke City's relegation from the Premier League should see Badou Ndiaye leave with Leicester City and Championship winners Wolvesreportedly interested.

Badou Ndiaye of Stoke City reacts during the Premier League match between Stoke City and Brighton and Hove Albion at Bet365 Stadium on February 10, 2018 in Stoke on Trent, England.

Badou Ndiaye only moved to Stoke City in January for a fee of £14 million, according to the BBC.

But, following the Potters’ relegation from the Premier League, the former Galatasaray midfielder could be on the move again this summer.

The Mail stated recently that Stoke are set to suffer a mass exodus this summer and Ndiaye is likely to follow Jack Butland, Joe Allen, Xherdan Shaqiri and co out of the exit. It is understood the Senegalese powerhouse has a release clause in his contract that will come into effect now Stoke’s relegation has been confirmed.

And Turkish publication Sporx is claiming that there are two Premier League sides who will offer Ndiaye the chance to remain in England’s top flight – Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Both Adrien Silva and Vicente Iborra have endured mixed debut seasons at the King Power Stadium, so Ndiaye would offer some extra depth in midfield and perhaps a more fitting partner for the excellent Wilfred Ndidi.

Not saying we're perfect in midfield, but we really do have much larger worries than signing yet another centre mid. Non story without doubt.

Ndiaye was highly regarded by Galatasaray fans and they were rather disappointed he left after only six months at the club.

Just wonder what we'll make next summer, with so many African players on our books potentially gone for the African Cup of Nations (Amartey, Ndidi, Iheanacho, Ndiaye?, Diabaté, Slimani?, Mahrez? Musa?).

Absolutely awful keeper. Wouldn't even replace Jakupovic with him.

Butlands had a shocker of a season. Don’t see why people are going mad over him

What’s even more bizarre is that some people think he’s better than Schmeichel

Butland has had a shocker, but Schmeichel has been wretched as well, let's be honest. Schmeichel has probably been the less bad of the two though.

Did his knee or something a few seasons ago and really hasnt been the same since bar 1-2 really good games in about three years. A real shame because he was doing better than Joe Hart before that.

Not sure about this Badou, if we're getting rid of Amartey it kinda makes sense, an actual player at this level to call on and play - apart from that though he's not looked anything special

Used to think Fraser Forster was exactly what we needed, huge keeper who can dominate his area....

He has been absolutely shite for well over a season now though, so I'd stay clear. Not sure what happened to him

Yeah and I suppose Butland is 6 years younger than ol' Scheichs too.  X

I think we actually need another top CM to play alongside N'didi.

I think Silva should play higher up in a ACM or in a midfield 3, as I don't think he is strong enough to play in a two in CM.

I would hold onto Iborra and use him as a very adequate sub and even use him to come on late and push forward when in search of a goal.

James and King should go IMO.

That only really leaves Choudary and Amartey. Choudary should definitely be involved in the first team squad, but not a starter yet and Amartey I still think would be best suited as a long-term CB option for us.

Would love someone of real quality to come in who is strong enough to play in a 2 but also has a better passing range than N'didi.  Would like someone like Shelvey but perhaps with better attitude, although he seems to have improved that part of his game.

N'didi, New CM, Silva, Iborra and Choudary to select from would be very handy.

Probably more let down by the people in front of him to be fair...

D'itto.

I feel it's too much for young Wilfred on his own (and I love him to bits) I'd kinda hoped Iborra could/would fulfil the role, with (as you also say) Silva further forward. I think we're weak in central midfield, teams run through us - particularly when we give away possession pressing forward. Ndidi might, when he acquires more tactical nous, be able to hold the fort one day but I'd like to see another body alongside him until then.

Iborra is a useful player but I think he is too slow to play week in week out. Definitely keen to keep him around though and that's the kind of quality we should be aiming for to have on the bench if we want to push top 6-7 sides.

Judging by how Puel used James, I wonder whether he will stick with him and focus on other areas to improve. I think it will be a mistake though and we should definitely be looking for a top CM to come straight into the team.

Made some howlers along the way. All keepers go through a bad spell at some point though. He’s got age on his side at least
