Looking at the League, and can't help but think how strange it will be to see Burnley potentially playing against a team Like Dortmund in the Europa League next season.

I mean, Burnley. Bloody Burnley.....

I can't help but imagine this is exactly how fans felt when we won the league and qualified for the champions league.

I still don't think our achievement has sunk in yet, I still can't seem to get my head around it all.

Dortmund are in the Champion's League

Wouldn't be surprised if they went out in the qualifiers anyway

I just think it's incredibly unfair as both everton and ourselves had a higher possession rating this season.

And they've probably doped their players.

Burnley will ruin our coefficient.

I'm sure everybody said the same about us. Lets give them a chance because you cant deny that they deserve it. On the bright side though, its quite likely it will really make life very difficult for them in the Prem :-)

Either it went over your head, or for some reason, you felt the need to explain the joke..

I totally agree plus we would have qualifying with most of our team not back from WC duty.

That's what I was looking at when I said potentially, you got my point anyway.

Surprisingly the Europa league teams are pretty poor this season compared to the usual.

Sevilla missed out and real Betis qualified lol

I hope they do well in Europe.

All football supporters have aspirations of glory for their club.  It's particularly satisfying when one of the smaller clubs punches above its weight.  They are there on merit.

Burnley will be in a mix with teams such as Sevilla, AZ Alkmaar, Legia Warsaw, RB Leipzig, IF Brøndby, Hapoel Haifa and Djurgardens.

Plus one out of Milan/Atalanta/Fiorentina, Rennes/Nice/Bordeaux/St. Etienne, Sporting/Braga, Zulte-Waregem/Lokeren, Istanbul Basaksehir/Fenerbahçe/Besiktas and Vitesse/Utrecht, amongst others.

Good luck.

Fair play to Burnley and fair play to Dyche they have fought long and hard and deserve the 7th place finish and European football. I suppose like people thought of us they would drop away and fade and believe they have been very lucky to have a settled side with very few injuries. It will be hard to maintain that level next season especially with European football looming and unlike many teams from the PL who qualify for the Europa league i do hope they take it seriously but it has an impact on team performances due to the extra games and it certainly hit us. A little club like Burnley finishing 7th is fantastic but a little club like Leicester finishing 1st is a different level. We can go all Spursy and tell ourselves we should and could have finished above them. Tell ourselves we were better than them when we played even though they beat us but they finished above us because over 38 games they got more points. Just my tuppence here but Dyche has decisions to make, he is safe at Burnley or safer than most but where does he go from here is that as good as it gets. Does he want to go to a "bigger club" all clubs have ambitions but the clubs with the wealthier owners can make the ambitions more obtainable. He has cut his cloth accordingly and fair play to him and to Burnley and hope they do themselves proud in the Europa league and their fans love European football like we did.

Anyone saying they're glad we didn't qualify is kidding themselves. We'd be looking forward to the draws like kids at Christmas if it was us- we live for those rare experiences as fans of a club our size.

Not really no

Kudos to Burnley for qualifying. And I really hope they take it seriously and grind their way to the latter stages just like we did in the Champions League.

you absolute moron. hate it when fans say things like this. "hope we lose to so and so in the cup so we can concentrate on the league!!!!!!!!!" how can you possibly say with a straight face you'd take mid table mediocrity and no cup runs over fighting relegation and the possibility of a cup final. come july burnley are going to be away at some lithuanian team nobody's ever heard of in europa league qualifying and we're going to be playing port vale in pre season and you're "kinda relieved".

"kinda relieved we stuffed up europe". the best thing that can ever happen as a fan of a club the size of ours is getting to follow them in europe. the fact that some of our fans are not only not heart broken we didn't qualify for the europa league but genuinely relieved/happy makes me want to chuck myself off a bridge.
