He'll probably end up back in the Premier League.

Neutrals & the media will be utterly unbearable when we inevitably lose to his new side, but it would be nice to give him a a proper thank you when he visits.

My West Ham mate seems to think they’re getting Claudio.

However, Baroness Brady of Knightbridge said that we were right to sack Claudio.

Perhaps she's had a rethink ??

Just put up a dam statue of the man, then kidnap him when he unveils it so that we can all see him and sing his name at every  home match forever. Claudio is a God in my world :jump:.

Why are people so negative about Claudio!?

Sure his sacking was justified, but the man is a gentleman and led us to our greatest ever glory. I genuinely believe that had we not lost Kante, or signed Ndidi 6 months earlier he'd still be in charge. This guy had us playing both great high tempo football and lethal counter attacking.

I could definitely see him back in the league. Still a very good manager!

Just typical Anglo-saxon petulance gits,Mixed with a Twist of fox decadence

Claudio actively went out of his way to not replace Kantè when he signed Nampalys Mendy over Idrissa Gueye.

Games with Ndidi in the side like Southampton away, Swansea away, Burnley away were still awful. The fact he kept playing the same back four, even though we were getting beat comfortable every week. We went to places like Burnley, Southampton etc and just parked the bus, we even let Middlesborough boss us home and away.

Claudio was given £80m to spend after the title winning season. He and the recruitment team had a mare. He went into the new season with the intention to trying to retain the ball better without getting ball players in during the window.

Hull away, Swansea away, Sunderland away, Watford away, soutjampton away, Middlesborough at home, Liverpool away, Manchester United away and Chelsea away were all worse performances than anything we've seen under Claude IMO.

with the players who we are targeting it shows that Claude and the recruitment team seem to be on the same page and I think we are in better hands now than where we were after 2016 under Claudio.

All true but still little reason to dislike Ranieri. His second season was terrible but his first was magical. And the guy was always fantastic to the fans.

I don't care........... he gave me the best year of the 49 I've supported the club. Everything before 2016 pales into insignificance compared to that achievement. I will only wish him well whatever he does. :worship:

Everything you said is 100% true. But Ranieri is still a God.

Look at the quiet nobility in that beautiful face.

I don't care about the season after we won the league.  Why not?  Because read that sentence again.  I don't care about the season AFTER WE WON THE LEAGUE.  Leicester City won the ****ing league and this wee beauty managed us.  Would I want him back? No.  Could he have done better afterwards?  Of course.  Are there 100 managers I would take now over him?  Definitely but I'll tell you this even though you're not asking.  On achievements alone he is, without doubt, the greatest manager in our history.  Cheers Claudio, I love you.  X

West  HAM  WAS WORSE THATS WHY THE ODDS AT TOTTENHAM WERE 10-1

I really wish in hindsight he would have just stepped down and retired after our miracle season.  X

Would have been an absolute meltdown on here if that had happened.

Just imagine...

We had just won the PL. All excited to prepare for the upcoming CL campaign. Dreaming of the players we could attract.

Suddenly Ranieri quits and says he's achieved the ultimate thing and now wants to go spend the rest of his life on a beach.

Everyone would have been like "WTF we gave him the opportunity to resurrect his career after Greece and he just dumps us afterwards?" "It was all Pearson's work anyway. Get Pearson back in right now" "What world class player is going to want to join a managerless club?"

Then as we crumble the following season post-Kante exit, all the fingers of blame would be towards Claudio abandoning us.

The ideal point of retirement would have been around December the season after when it clearly wasn't working anymore. We wouldn't have to be forced to sack him and be called snakes by the entire world in order to avoid relegation.

As do I. I thought it quite early on that season as well to be honest.

That's what made it so sad for me. It felt like it was more than just a job to him. He really embraced the supporters and the people of Leicester for that matter.

I'm not sure anyone actually dislikes Claudio, he was a massive part of the season of our lives.

I would say though that the nonsense we got from the media and fans of other clubs meant that many of us went on the offensive to defend the decision, which resulted in us having to put Claudio down a bit.

100% this. I defended the decision so much that it ended up coming across as disrespectful towards him.

Exactly this. It was the right decision as well, no doubt about it for me. The irony that we get accused for being disrespectful when that ultimately boiled down to us being disrespected.

I wish we'd have let in 5 in one of the terrible games under him so the media would have understood that he was taking us down

Mad that us not scoring a goal in the league in that calendar year didn't hammer that point home.
