The old A team have all been let go. Just announced that Ranierri is leaving Nantes and Walsh plus Shakespeare booted by Everton this week. Maybe they need to get back together somewhere and try again. I'd ship them into the KP Belgium outfit for a period or recuperation and boot camping under Pearson.

I really think he just needs to retire now. Especially with the Italy job going to Mancini.

If he's still up for it, I think he still has a few years left in him.

Depends on his motivation and the options available.

Maybe he'll return to Italy for one last stint in his home country.

Nantes fans are generally pleased he's gone, after witnessing an underwhelming second half to the season (matches against "lesser" teams such as Troyes (relegated), Metz (relegated), Dijon or Amiens).

He seems to do well initially, maybe because he likes to let the players get on with it an observe.. similar to what we heard when he first came here, and just tweaking certain things. As soon as he starts to be more hands on, things tail off performance wise perhaps.

I certainly hope he doesn't stop there and would like to see him go out on his own terms, perhaps a mid-table or relegation battling club in Italy or even a Championship team here pushing for promotion. Would love to see him back in our local media. Top man!

He should have packed it in after he won the title but respect to him for carrying on as he probably doesn't need the money.

Shame, gutted for him. I wish him well for the future, I'd love to see him at Chelsea, Manchester United or Manchester City.....in fact anywhere in England so we can see his post match interviews.
