was worried for a second we had sold our souls for a shirt/sleeve sponsor..

think this is just replacing Ladbrokes then

Not sure if it will replace them to be honest as they will want people to bet in the ground and W88 don't operate in the UK.

The massive promotion of betting bothers me. It's no coincidence that the massive surge in gambling possibilities popped up just after politicians made a show of pretending to be morally concerned about it.

It's not quite two years since City's betting partner became Betstars, when City's Head of Partnerships Harj Hir said: "We can draw parallels with Betstars' rising popularity and ability to engage football supporters, so we look forward to a long and successful relationship for both parties."

These "partnerships" always seem rather superficial, but our Emile is their brand ambassador, so maybe this is a real long-term relationship.

The amount of gambling advertising in and around football has got to ridiculous levels. I'm not against people having a bet but it's everywhere now and even my 10 year old son picks up on the adverts on shirts, around grounds and on tv. It can't be healthy (other than for the clubs and the bookies of course).
