DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 4 July 2018 Posted 4 July 2018 (edited) Hmm. Not too sure about this one, but there again I know very little about him. Edited 4 July 2018 by DANGEROUS TIGER 1
lcfc sheff Posted 4 July 2018 Posted 4 July 2018 Jesus wept some of your lots opinions are odd to say the least. Been good every leagues he’s played in, and is only 22! £25m or preferably less and we’ve got a fairly risk free signing.

He seems to start most of his moves by turning a player, but that's because the opponent's are far too tight. In the PL they'll either sit off and let him take a touch then move in on the second and third touches, or they'll apply a gegenpress approach of trying to win the ball on the first phase, and if that fails having a second man to press the second phase. Either way he won't get the freedom on the ball that he shows in that video so he'll need to be capable of stepping up a gear if he does make a move to the PL. No tighter than defenders are on Riyad though? Problem with that video is that it doesn't showcase his goals/assists either so you don't get the times there's an end product. Pace always helps. He's still quite raw but there's talent there. And thanks for putting some constructive criticism, rather than 'he's shit' just because people are expecting Ronaldo to be Mahrez's replacement
yks Posted 4 July 2018 Posted 4 July 2018 (edited) His stats last season : 18 goals and 7 assists in 3.019'. That's 1 goal or assist every 121'. For a winger those are impressive stats. He plays on the right but can only use his left foot. He's a finisher and not a builder but he's really good at it. He's fast, quite good at dribbling and can score out of nowhere. He 's the kind of player I expect LCFC to buy to replace Mahrez. Young, with a high ceiling and already experimented and successful in decent leagues. Edited 4 July 2018 by yks 2
MC Prussian Posted 4 July 2018 Posted 4 July 2018 Could be our very own Sadio Mané. Who'd say no to that? Young Talented Fast, but skillful and with a knack for scoring (sorry, Adama) Relatively cheap (in today's market) Room for improvement He offers something different, and no matter what the occasion, at some stage we ought to break out of this narrow-minded box of thinking that we'll never be able to find a replacement for Mahrez. We don't have to! Just change our way of playing with two speedy wingers that can also put the ball into the net, and have our central midfield do the delivery with passes. 3

This. Far bigger clubs than us get by on this sort of model, buying the best young talent and selling them on after a few years of development- Dortmund, Leipzig, Lyon, etc. etc. It's a model that works if you're an attractive enough proposition to get the best players- hopefully we are. Just don't get too attached to anyone. 1
Ted Maul Posted 4 July 2018 Posted 4 July 2018 I think he'd be a good signing- massive upgrade on what we'll have when Mahrez leaves. Get him in and someone of equal quality on the other side, and we may be able to replace Mahrez's input and become a more balanced side in the process.
Popular Post SheppyFox Posted 4 July 2018 Popular Post Posted 4 July 2018 Yes get him in and bin Dermarai ‘but I’ve got potential’ Gray off. 4 2
HoustonFox Posted 4 July 2018 Posted 4 July 2018 This could be very exciting! Whether we end up signing him or not, it’s good to be linked with talented youngsters who are breaking through and have something to prove, as well as some fundamental talent. Two marauding and pacy wingers with an eye for goal either side of Vardy, with Silva and Maddison pulling the strings and Wilf cleaning up behind them is exciting!!
420Hashish Posted 4 July 2018 Posted 4 July 2018 I remember watching him in that Europa League Final against ManU. He was probably their best or second best player. He played really good in the game and created a lot of chances. Gerrimin.

AjcW Posted 4 July 2018 Posted 4 July 2018 That article doesn’t seriously say someone has stolen N’dombele for £8m does it?!?!?

AjcW Posted 4 July 2018 Posted 4 July 2018 One good thing... binned off by Chelsea usually means he’ll be world class 2

escos Posted 4 July 2018 Posted 4 July 2018 (edited) Why have assist stats become so important? If you take on an entire team and square it for a striker who balloons it over the bar how are you less of a player than someone who taps a ball along the edge of the box for the striker to smack it top corner? Surely those stats are very deceiving! Edited 4 July 2018 by escos 1
FoxonMaui Posted 4 July 2018 Posted 4 July 2018 It’s hard to make a judgement on such limited film, but here is my take on what I see. This kid has tremendous pace and that will help him in the Prem. Defenders are going to stand off him because of it. He’s further along than Mahrez was and Diadate when we got them. He’s going to have to hit the gym hard to build his leg strength to stand up to the physicality of the Prem, but I like what see. He’s a bit out of control like a floppy legged colt but he will get stronger with us and I think he will score goals but expect him to miss his fair share in his first season until he gets his legs and core strength up. The potential he has is huge, think he is better than Zaha now and has way more upside. This kid could grow into a massive star, you can see the raw ability. Well worth the risk for the money in my opinion. 2 1

Surely those stats are very deceiving! Assists are the next most tangible attribute for winning football matches after scoring goals. Assists rely on another team mate to finish so it's often important to look at chances created but ultimately if a player has a good number of assists and goals you can be rest assured they'll be involved.

Seriously Reg - I’m not one for slagging off players anyway but being told to ‘give a man a break’ because I feel ‘underwhelmed’ by his performances to date is hardly beating him with a stick hours a day is it FFS? 2

Relatively cheap (in today's market) - Relatively expensive in any market given he's a one footed player (....enter Monty Python reference here....) Room for improvement - I hope that room is located somewhere well away from Leicester. p.s. I've never heard of him, but this is par for the course on FT... Edited 5 July 2018 by norwichfox 3
