Nah he should retire, its a bit difficult listening to him fumble through games. I don't listen to talk sport anyway so I'm not that bothered anyway.

Why do people care so much? it's just some bloke that sits in the stand and says stuff like 'wow. great goal there' - football stadiums are full of 'um

Wish you had a choice to amplify the crowd noise on broadcasts and mute the commentators, they add nothing, they keep repeating sh** you probably already knew or just saw with your own eyes

That sounds like terrible radio.

Is this the 2nd time he's came out of retirement? Talk about milking it.

The Neil Warnock of football commentators. Just needs another 5 to match Colin.

he is going to be absolutely awful at radio commentary. he’s awful at tele commentary nowadays, but the amount of description needed for radio commentary is huge, considering 80% of what he says is just noises these days i don’t think this is gonna go well.

Sure he can adopt the stringer route and tell me about his journey to the game and what he has in his sandwiches.

Bless him. He's obviously addicted to it and it's in his blood. He just can't walk away, even at 73 years old.

In his 'prime' he was one of the best but over the last few years he's been painful to listen too.

Don't ruin your legacy Motty....

A lot of people that retire, especially from a job they love, often feel bereft sat at home doing nothing. If it makes him happy and gives him a sense of purpose, then good on him I say. And it's not like he's any worse than the likes of Guy "If one Harry doesn't get you, the other one will" Mowbray, who was cringe worthy during the World Cup.
