ALC Fox Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 How are we pronouncing his name then, BERN-uhd or Buh-NARD?
La-li-lu-le-lo Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 (edited) He’s a fairly diminutive player, low centre of gravity and excellent technique. He was playing with Ronaldinho at Atlético Mineiro. I think he’s suffered a bit since then to get a break through in Europe. He’s lost his way a little bit still has the same skill set he had when he was a younger player..... if he’s managed correctly he is one hell of a talent, he would be a risk worth taking in my opinion. coolhandfox Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 Low risk transfer other than wages, could be a good one!
Forward thinking Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 Leicester City offer contract to Brazilian international Bernard - reports The winger is a free agent after leaving Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leicester-city-offer-contract-bernard-1831026.amp Far too many clubs interested....unlikely to happen but wouldn't say no ! Foxes1 Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 Hope we don't sing 'Bernie give us a wave' or the wrong one may wave to us
Ted Maul Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 Certainly worth the risk on a free- still only 25. Surely we need to bring in one winger who isn't a risk though- it's a massive gamble going into the season hoping an entire forward line can make the step up at the same time.
EnderbyFox Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 Apparently he wants a London move, think he’ll end up at Chelsea, West Ham also linked but they’ve already signed two wingers this window
rachhere Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 Interesting... surely if he's been struggling with his career of late he's going to want to go to a club where he's guaranteed match time? If I were his agent that's what I would be advising anyway...!

MC Prussian Posted 27 July 2018 Posted 27 July 2018 (edited) Bailey on the left, Bernard on the right. Bailey on the right, Bernard on the left. Bailey and Bernard everywhere up front. One can dream. Edited 27 July 2018 by MC Prussian 1

Excellent point well made Makes me laugh that players get annoyed at having to live near their team. Chelsea literally enforce a zone around cobham where players have to live! Not plausible to implement something for players already at the club but for new players it's obviously a request they live nearer and if that's unacceptable then the deal may collapse?
