Fully agree. Even if you think your mgr is a twat you must respect the decision.  Sarri shud have risked a red card to do that

Definitely, it's a sign that player power has won. Complete disrespect.

To be fair, he did try to get him off. You’ve got to see Kepa’s intransigence to believe it.

Then the ref stops the game until the stewards come and physically carry Kepa off the pitch. The ref is the absolute authority, you can't have a player hold the game to ransom, he's gotta be stronger.

That’s easy to say but hard to do in practice. There’s no protocol for this.

I’m no Moss fan but I thought he did ok with what was an absolutely absurd situation.

Not up the ref at all?

He stops the game while Chelsea make their changes. It's up to him to quicken things up if they're time wasting and he did that.

If Chelsea can't control their players then that's their fault.

In fairness, Moss was not the one to blame in this situation. The board hadn't gone up and the substitution hadn't been officially confirmed. I thought he handled the situation well by going over to the Chelsea bench and asking if they were going to make the sub, or whether he could continue the game.

Imo this is why you need leaders in the team. I’m convinced the reason we didn’t crumble from the pressure in 15/16 was not only because we were better than everyone else but we also had about 7 players in the first team who could have been captain.

In addition to that we had experienced heads like Schwarzer, King & Ulloa on the bench. On top of that we even had Inler in reserve who has captained his club and country.

Having these type of leaders around on a day to day basis is motivation in itself to perform.

Currently, it’s great we’re promoting youth but we need a good blend. We need more leaders and captain material players to show the youth how it’s done and get them through the rough patches.

Not just that, they were all humble enough to know that the buck stopped with Ranieri and Wes.

All well and good having many leaders but you need to respect the authority that your captain and manager have.

Worth noting that Azpilicueta was nowhere to be seen when all this was going on.

Disgusting that. Yes it’s shitty that you’re not trusted for penalties and probably could have been handled better by Sarri saying before the game ‘if it goes to pens Willy is coming on’ BUT you never undermine your manager like that.

Should be dropped from the team for a long long time.

But that wasn’t the situation kapa had gone down on 2 separate occasions needing treatment to his leg
