Vardy has not exactly been amazing this season, and while in the past he has represented a lot of good things about who we are as a team he isn't undroppable. He needs to fight for his position like the rest of the squad. My fear though is that Ian isn't exactly on form either, and we don't have any other options imo. I am concerned about our strike force and said as such preseason.

He is still the heartbeat of the side and very much the man who sets the tempo, He closes down defenders like noone else in our squad can or does. He's not been on the greatest form but then he isn't really being used properly either.

I can see him leaving in January of all this is true and then we'll see where we are.

The decision to drop Vardy isn’t a bad one in isolation but it all depends on what replacement he chooses and how he sets up.

I’d quite like to see:-

                          Kasper

     Soyoncu      Maguire      Evans

Ricardo   Ndidi   Iborra  Mendy  Chilwell

                       Maddison

                       Iheanacho

No one is bigger than the team / club maybe Vardy ought to be keeping tabs on what his Mrs is liking etc. He needs to get his head down up his effort levels to where they used to be and not be undermining what’s trying to be achieved.Im neither a Puel fan or am against him but whilst he is here we need everyone pulling in the same direction.

what happens if Puel gets the boot and a manager comes in who changes things again to the detriment of some of the players does the club simply become a revolving door management wise?

I understand your team and maybe for an away game this would work. But at home we can not play 3 holding midfielders. However 352 with maddison behind Iheanacho and Vardy looks frightening.

Vardy will score 15-20 this season, that’s not the issue, the issue is playing 2 holding midfielders one of Ndidi or Mendy would suffice, we need more creativity, that’s what we are lacking.

I would agree with this. Although both Mendy & N’didi are decent players & doing reasonably well I don’t think the midfield is working in the context of a team. The difficulty is I can’t see an answer in our squad if we persist with playing 2 and we would need to go with 433 I think. Something like this maybe.

                                      Kasper

Amartey.          Evans.                  Maguire.               Chilwell

                                       N’didi

               Mendy.                                     Maddison

    Gray.                      Iheanacho.                 Vardy

Or

                                      Kasper

Amartey.          Evans.                  Maguire.               Chilwell

                                       Iborra

               N’didi.                                     Maddison

    Gray.                      Iheanacho.                 Vardy

If Puel plays Vardy and he looks off the pace after being ill last week, which is highly likely he's been off the pace all season when he hasn't just got over a stomach bug, and we lose its Puel out why did he pick Vardy.

If Puel rests Vardy and we lose then its Puel out he's such an idiot for not picking Vardy.

If Puel rests Vardy and we play well and win its Puel out he was just lucky today he really should have picked Vardy, its not about Puel and his tactics today, its the players who have performed very well.

It doesn't matter what Puel does its Puel out all the way, BORING.

the owners missed to sack the manager in time and this was end of last season and sent him back to France.

But now enough is enough.

And to get rid of Claude the Fraud. Luckily it’s not far away...

People don't think Vardy should be dropped - fair enough

Vardy's angry - fair enough

Someone's leaking our tactics to the press - unacceptable

Rebekah Vardy is using her husband to interfere with the squad, spirit and tactics - ridiculous, unacceptable

Someone's doing this a day before a match - unacceptable

If Jamie is not quite up to full fitness  today but still able to play then he should come on as a sub later in the game. That way everyone gets what they want........unless we lose!

PUEL OUT 4EVER

I'm not entirely sure why some people are so against Puel! He's actually got us playing some amazing football at times, just needs the players to consistently do that for him now. Yes we lost to Arsenal, so have 11 teams in a row! Some people need to get a grip with reality. We are not at this moment fighting for the title...

It's been mentioned a few times,  but no one in the team has missed the impact Riyad had more than Vardy.

The short passing game robs Vardy of his edge over defenders because if he gets the ball played to his feet he looks up and there's still a wall of players to beat. We aren't playing to his strengths any more.

That said Vardy seems largely anonymous in games lately. Even if he wasn't getting the ball much in seasons gone by you could see him running about looking to get into space.

I think Vardy needs to develop a quick understanding with Maddison, Riccardo and probably most importantly Chillwell, who is looking good and is taking on players.

Perhaps dropping Vardy will give Jamie a reason to fight and prove why he's been so important to our success.

I think Iheanacho is (slowly) growing into the role too, and perhaps needs a chance to show what he can do as a number 9. Just hope that dropping Vardy allows Puel to come up with a formation that let's us produce more chances. We desperately need a creative outlet in our midfield to ease the burden on Maddison.

he don't float my boat - you go on cheering him and I'll go on booing... but  I bet he's not here in 6mths time (possibly 6 hours if we get turned over today)

There would be a difference in how I'd view this if Puel was dropping an out of form Vardy who's been played through the middle in an attacking team.

Given that at Arsenal he was forced to play out wide on the left in an ultra-cautious line up and spent most of the time 10 yards in front of his left back defending his own area, I think I'll back Vardy.

Get rid of Puel and take the shackles off Vardy and this entire team.

As a Fan, surely you should be behind him until he does something that makes us worse. Him not 'floating your boat' surely is just a personal thing about his personality, which should have no baring on his performance as a manager. Just my opinion really....

I’d like to see both our strikers testing the back 4 by running in behind. Often there are large spaces in behind the full backs that we never seem interested in when the fullback goes out to close down Chilwell or Periera yet both Vardy & Nacho remain static & central waiting on a cross.
