lifted*fox Posted 3 November 2018 Posted 3 November 2018 I thought that was some lovely coverage on MOTD tbf. They did a nice job of that.
twister Posted 3 November 2018 Posted 3 November 2018 My deepest sympathies as a arsenal fan to Vichais family , and to the other victims of the tragedy including the pilots and staff members. your story gave hope in a world and a game football dominated by money and greed. Maybe sadly it might be the last , no more dreams for the 92 clubs like your forests or derby of winning league championships or villa winning the euroupen cup, only the select few who appeal to the coperate hordes watching on money laden hot spots in asia and america matter now,But your story for a moment showed it didnt have to be that way and the owner and his dreams were part of that. The way he was loved at the club showed how differtent he was to other owners. Yes Vicahi was wealthy and a captalist like other owners, but he seemed more personal hands on, how many players are as emotive in the modern day by a owner as kasper has been for you and vardy and co.I am sure his son will carry on that legacy in the future with dignity and class.

Great little touch. All the Arsenal players did. Am I returned that in thinking Liverpool didn't wear armbands? I didn't notice any other than the captain's armband.

I believe the armbands are for the 5 who died last week. Remembrance fixture is next week. Im very surprised to see Lingaard hasn't got on a armband as he played for us while Vichai owned us. I didn't like him before but now it's even deeper.

Keep in mind our history (Royal Woolich Arsenal), I have never, ever heard this for a non-Arsenal man before, but the home crowd saluted it before kick off . .. "Guns forward. Battles Ahead" "(Vichai, Vichai) X 5"
onekeithweller Posted 4 November 2018 Posted 4 November 2018 This has probably been posted before but worth watching if you haven't seen it. Vichai interviewed soon after the Premier title win talking about his philosophy in business and in life.

Ki came on for Newcastle yesterday, and his was missing. It's no excuse, but I'm guessing it might have been missed in the rush to get ready on the bench rather than the changing room as players don't sit on the bench in their shirts, they usually remove a different top and the put their shirt on.
Sma22 Posted 4 November 2018 Posted 4 November 2018 Hi all, Southend fan here. Just wanted to offer my sincere condolences to everyone for the loss of Vichai. Like many others, I became a Leicester fan for the season when you won the title and captured the whole world’s attention and imagination. I’ve had a soft spot for Leicester since and was so choked up when I heard the news, as he was clearly a special man. I was over the moon to see you win yesterday and I can’t take my hat off enough to the huge amount of fans who made the trip to support the team. The reaction from the players, fans and everyone connected with Leicester has been incredible and you should all be immensely proud of your club. Football has no colours when it comes to things like this. Stay strong and very best of luck for the rest of the season. RIP Vichai, Nursara, Kaveporn, Eric and Izabela

Lingard was quoted in the press last week about what a great man Vichai was, I'm surprised he'd have openly opted not to wear one. May well have been an oversight.
Deiseblue Posted 4 November 2018 Posted 4 November 2018 I always keep an eye out for Leicester City’s results particularly because my late Grandfather Captain Jack Mitchell M.C. played for Leicester Fosse v Leeds City In 27/4/1912in a 2-1 win . May I pass on my sincere condolences on the death of your esteemed owner Mr. Srivaddhanaprabha. May he Rest In Peace
Smiffy Fox Posted 4 November 2018 Posted 4 November 2018 We live in Nuneaton and my 8 year old is the only Leicester fan in his Sunday league team. Today before his game they held a minutes slience. He also scored and took off his shirt the reveal the Vichai top. Lovely stuff.

foxer Posted 4 November 2018 Posted 4 November 2018 I've put this in another thread but thought it should probably go in here as well. You should all be proud of yourselves lads & lasses. So gutting to have been so close to it but unable to join in! RIP Vichai
Mr Mister Posted 4 November 2018 Posted 4 November 2018 The scenes at the King Power stadium are absolutely amazing and poignant. I really hope that everyone involved at Leicester City will go out of their way to make Khun Vichai's vision a reality.
Gazdavid7 Posted 4 November 2018 Posted 4 November 2018 Been nothing from Steve Walsh on this has there. And he hasn't been seen at the ground. Wonder if he perhaps fell out with the owners when he left the club.

I think you have to allow people to deal with their grief as they wish to ..... fwiw, I have no idea if he fell out with anyone at the club on his departure
