Utterly staggering just how robotic the media actually are. No emotion whatsoever.

Speaking of the media, I've just seen a recording of a stream by Sky News in which some unbelievably distasteful and presumptuous remarks about Vichai's relationship with Nursara, the member of staff who was killed are made. Disgusting.

The other guy saying that off camera isn't Sky News, it's the BBC's Dan Roan (albeit former Sky Sports employee)

the issue here is not what's being said (you we have no idea what is or isn't true) but that its being broadcast ………. dan roan will be horrified that an off the record chat with another journo is being live fed …….

more shocking editorial stuff from sky i'm afraid …………………. good job they don't bank roll the game ………….

Can’t believe they spoke like that when the cameras were still being live fed - disgusting low life’s our press are

Edit: I spoke straight after watching video of course not all of the press are low lives. I stood near Geoff Peters when he’s was doing his report for talksport and he said the most beautiful things, a real credit to journalism.

I did also see a lot of the press pushing, running and shouting when the family arrived to lay their flowers, wasn’t very respectful IMO.

The media have had a shocker throughout this. Jonathan Head in Bangkok reporting from outside the KPHQ kept dropping into his reports complaints about their supposed monopoly on duty free in a Thailand. He even mentioned the recent “corruption” case but failed to mention prominently enough how the case against them collapsed.

I’ve tweeted Dan Roan asking him to leave the memorial and never come back if he’s going to make remarks like that. I’d urge everyone else to do the same.

That's absolutely disgusting from them.

They may well be one of the most-popular media channels in terms of viewings, but they lack the class, respect and general professionalism,  and this incident sums that up in a nutshell.

So shocking and a complaint should be lodged against them.

Guys - by highlighting this ‘issue’ and publicising it, it’s  more likely that it becomes a talking point and potentially detracts from vichai’s legacy ....... we know the media live to build people up and then ‘knock reputations down’

I don’t know what the truth is but I don’t want it to become an issue out there either .......

Fair point.

Personally think that the national coverage of the incident has been fine, barring the BBC's 'Puel could be aboard' cock up and Sky Sports News' deadline-day-style reporting.

That's a massive generalisation. The vast, vast majority of journalists covering this have done so with professionalism and empathy.

No excuse for the behaviour of the minority of course, but to describe all those covering the tragedy as "disgusting low lifes" is too far.

Did anyone download that video, they've removed it and he doesn't deserve to get away with comments like that! I was just about to download when it was removed.
