Ranieri, Pearson, Sven, Shakespeare and Cambiasso invited to attend tomorrow's game

Quite unbelievable seeing all of the legends past and present there. Truly remarkable club we have here.

The challenge will be to create new glory and stories, but I think with the people we have at the club we might just get there. It might take a while and it might not be in the way we expect but genuinely there is something special about it all. I felt privileged to be there today and feel both proud and happy to support this club.

If you look back at all the footage you can tell there's a lot animosity towards Ranieri, and so many dirty looks from the players too. Something just wasn't right.

I think Nige, Shakey, Walsh, absolutely loath him.

Should never had let Kante leave.

Anyway. It's an era that has definitely come to an end. It's time to look forward.

I noticed this, from what I saw it only seemed to be Shinji who approached him and they gave each other a hug. ( i could be wrong)

Very sad to see considering what was achieved as a collective group.

Not sure about the players but I saw Pearson with his arm round him talking at length during the lap of the pitch.

I think it's to be expected that some people within the club probably wouldn't be on good terms with former employees. However, I didn't see loads of animosity, I'm sure I saw Pearson/Ranieri interacting quite often and also saw Vardy have a laugh with Ranieri.

I saw Vardy and Chilwell embrace him too, not sure about any others.

I'd take Pearson or ranieri back in a heartbeat.

Nothing to do with Claudio - look to our beloved recently departed owner on that one - NG appealed directly to him and Top to be allowed to move there (the judgment made that it was better to sell to Chelsea for 32m than have to sell to a CL club for 20m before August was out )

nige and Claudio shared a very amicable public greeting in the directors box

The idea that shakey and Walsh ‘abolsutely loathe him’ ....... where do you get that from ???

i think you are looking too deeply into this when there is little to look for - Claudio  was very specific to thank all the players when he left - his problem was with some higher up .....

I don’t think it’s entirely fair to either Puel or our last three managers to wonder aloud who should be leading the team. It was a heartwarming moment to see Pearson, Ranieri and Shakespeare back, and I won’t overthink it beyond that. I also think the dignified manner in which staff and players, old and new, handled yesterday shows the club is in good hands no matter what.

Certainly not the first three, they'd be way out of their depth now.

Do you think?

Walsh was instrumental in some of the best signings we've ever seen at this club

Pearson (in my opinion) deserves huge credit for our title win, he laid the foundations

Steve Walsh is coming as well, according to the Mail.  He is flying back from holiday from Australia to be at the game.

It's all gone quiet (not surprisingly) on Macia moving on (to Bordeaux ?) and Walsh coming back.  I wonder if there may be an announcement soon - inevitably nothing official today (though there may be some speculation) - but perhaps in the next week or two ?

Was this ever substantive in any way?

I see Burnley are desperate to recruit a Director of Football - wanting someone who is prepared to live near Burnley.  I would have thought Walsh would be tailor made for that job, given his family and connections with Lancashire.  Perhaps Burnley won't be paying enough for him though ?

Do you not think there was a huge difference between the way Pearson interacted with the players and the way Ranieri did with everyone?
