Guest Electric Yetis Posted 21 November 2018 Posted 21 November 2018 Can't remember the exact wording but always loved the build up to Walsh's second in the Play Off Final against Derby. Was that Parry again? Always liked his commentary. It ended something like below In towards Ormondroyyyyd! Walsh has scored! Leicester City are in dreamland now, that could finally be the goal that takes them...to heaven Because heaven is what these Leicester fans will regard the Premiership as.
Winchesterfox Posted 21 November 2018 Posted 21 November 2018 Final minute of stoppage time. One more drink of water on the bench. Deep breaths all around Filbert Street. And it's a Leicester corner. Martin O'Neill wishes he was still playing. Gary Parker to take. Steve Walsh goes up. There's Prior. There's Walsh! It's simply unbelievable. You could watch football for fifty years and never see a finish like this. Steve Walsh, Leicester's Captain Fantastic, makes it three goals apiece. And given what both teams have contributed to this game, who can argue?
ultrafox Posted 21 November 2018 Posted 21 November 2018 "Here’s Peake…setting himself for the drive….Ohhh what a goal…that is beautiful..... Andy Peake…his first ever First Division goal, and he’ll never score a better one!...and he’s beaten one of the greatest goalkeepers in the world from what.. 30 yds!!."
KingsX Posted 21 November 2018 Posted 21 November 2018 Way too good an idea for a mere "international break" OP. All credit to so many of you for your near-photographic memories. I just hope you are as good at remembering your anniversaries and your kids' birthdays!

Brooksy Posted 21 November 2018 Posted 21 November 2018 Pearce when Vardy scored vs Liverpool was fantastic.

(I used to watch this VHS every morning before school for almost a year) Same for me but with an audio tape of this, must have listened to it hundreds of times, sadly lost now "Martin Hodge has a goal kick to take.... Gordon Lee is urging his players on..... The referee looks at his watch and...... .....they are safe, they are safe, they have made it by the skin of their teeth ! There are scenes of complete and utter jubilation all around me....the fans have poured on to the pitch....... 2nd division football will be at Filbert Street next season and third division football will be at The Hawthorns." Osavo Posted 22 November 2018 Posted 22 November 2018 'Can you believe this team? Defeat is not in their vocabulary!' 1997 League Cup final after Heskey's equaliser. Also love a lot of the title winning ones, but most have been mentioned.
Master Fox Posted 22 November 2018 Posted 22 November 2018 “Okazaki will not be denied” ”It’s Gray with the return.... Drinkwater looking for JAMIE VARDY!!!!.... Leicester City have a foothold in the tie”

This was so obviously scripted and rehearsed, like many things Tyler comes out with nowadays. Maybe...but well scripted...every time I see the various videos of this,it fits and comp!eyes the memory

Actually one of the best topics of the year...gets all of us digging into our memories,or trying to pick up past commentaries from the Leicester of old. Even as an old winkly, the Great escape, then the title season, plus the cup triumphs great commentaries (for city fans) ,have never faded. So far ,...3 great pages to read.. Not so direct, but from G.Lineker, when he made that comment on the Germans and penalties...Always carried this on my laptop, then tablet!! Football is a simple game, “Twenty-two men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans always win.”..

UpTheLeagueFox Posted 23 November 2018 Posted 23 November 2018 "This is unique. A modern day football miracle. They have blown their rivals away. They have blown us all away in truth. Premier League champions 2016... ...the amazing Leicester City." Martin Tyler, May 2016, as we lift the trophy.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 23 November 2018 Posted 23 November 2018 How has anybody not mention this ... Whitlow drives forward ... and looks for joachim ... and finds Thompson and Thompson has equalised !!!! ITS UNBELIEVABLE STUFF NOW !!!!!

Why can't this guy comment all our games? I can hardly stand the 'pro' commentators doing Premier League games (not only ours) - repetitive, boring, predictable, over reliant on cliches and all too eager to feed their scripted lines to the audience
