Charl91 Posted 25 November 2018 Posted 25 November 2018 Lets face it, Wasyl is the correct answer. Doesn't really matter who else you put in the team. (Huth is a close second for me, though)
Stadt Posted 25 November 2018 Posted 25 November 2018 Mattock and Collymore if it was a bunch of women
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 25 November 2018 Posted 25 November 2018 Gavin Ward Wasilewski Mauchlen Trev Benjy
fazzyfox Posted 25 November 2018 Posted 25 November 2018 Not exactly a former player but....I remember during the Brian Little era a game on a nice quiet Sunday afternoon featuring former players and current coaches and perhaps random celebs against a side made up of cast and crew from Brookside. It was billed as a family fun day, bring the kids etc but after a dodgy challenge it all kicked off with Steve "Scrappy Doo" Hunt taking on the Brookside cast and crew single handedly like a scene out of...well, Brookside. Don't know how many "Calm Down" calls it took before the game resumed but he'd lost it big time to such a degree that every School team scrap for the next five years could be associated to the kids being there that day.
Nick Posted 26 November 2018 Posted 26 November 2018 I can’t help but laugh at the suggestions in this thread as whilst equally some of the usual suspects might help with a spot of confrontation they are more likely to be causing the kick off themselves after a few beers!

During a game some opposition player called him a certain name that didn’t go down well. He wouldn’t leave it, tried to get at him In the dressing room, tunnel etc. In the end the only option open to him was to get on the coach, it being full of opposition players to get at the bloke. By all accounts he was pretty successful with it. I'm not surprised by this. Ade would probably have punched most of those on the coach before he finally hit the target!

I was there for that! Don't think Ive ever spoken to anyone who remembers it. LCFC v Brookside. Very bizarre. I'm sure some players that were still playing at the time were involved.
RumbleFox Posted 26 November 2018 Posted 26 November 2018 Wasyl. Huth. Elliott. Taggart. Walsh. Vardy (just to wind everyone up). X

MPH Posted 26 November 2018 Posted 26 November 2018 pressman ( hard to knock down) wasilewski ( would break bones with his chin Wise ( would hopefully get injured) Jari Rantenen ( mix both pressman and wasilewski answers together).
Jordan Posted 26 November 2018 Posted 26 November 2018 GK: Rab Douglas - He has the kind of nose that makes you think he's been through all of this before and won't get fazed by a few flying fists and/or pint glasses or pool cues. D: Marcin Wasilewski - This is a no-brainer, and quite impressive considering this means the likes of Steve Walsh miss out. M: James Maddison - Would he get battered? Yeah, probably. But someone in a pub fight always has to unnecessarily escalate the situation by, as we might say in my part of the world, "writing checks with his mouth that his ass can't cash." James Maddison is definitely this guy.. F: Jamie Vardy - He has a track record of success in this type of thing.

Mike Oxlong Posted 26 November 2018 Posted 26 November 2018 Conrad. He’d be invaluable on the sidelines holding my coat.
ajthefox Posted 26 November 2018 Posted 26 November 2018 I'd pick Savage and tell the others not to help him just to see him get decked.
GloverFox Posted 26 November 2018 Posted 26 November 2018 Forget the bloody players ..... big Nige ..... Pearson would pin them to the floor and throttle them in plain view of everyone .... total nutter .... top bloke .... with Robbie Savage behind him just to wind em up and rub salt into the wounds?

In our clique, in the 70s...Dirty Duck,Holyrood days,we had such a friend, who was just like that. He was actually a clean cut nice guy,but On Saturday nights he lost it...He came later into our group...we were Just one of the New Parks group of lads...> We were the good guys< One night in the Holyrood, everybody mingling ,getting on well together, various groups from the typical L'shire estates. Syston,Groby,NParks, and yes Braunstone,B'leys,Scraptoft,Saffron-lane,etc.etc...all a bit loose, wanting simply a good Saturday night time.. Well our hero, who we thought was chatting up the girls...came over to us smiling, 'hey we've got a scrap organised,I told the Braunstone ,and S'lane" Neanderthals, that we from N.Parks fresh from the western park rumble, will show all of them who owns this Town, they are waiting outside!!! ' We were known, yes we were a close group of hard lads, but we never forced any issue,or went out of our way for any confrontation, "Crazy-gang" kept their not so decent distance!!! Well !! we knew, actually friends of some of those other lads,so we had some quiet words, with a couple of them, in a very short pretence of a slagging match Inside the pub.... Our hero friend leading screeching "come on lads let's show these @*%*+&# who owns this turf!! ' We all were shouting and swearing towards the exit following our "leader"..has we got to the double doors, waving to our foe,we pushed our hero outside Told the waiting group of lads...He's yours!!! and went quietly back into the pub, locking the door.....Killing ourselves laughing, the pub crowd went back to enjoying the evening. Afterwards we met some of our "enemies" later in the Fusion-disco,again through bursts of laughing and back-slapping, They told us,they roughed him up a bit,no punching, but left him looking for some of his clothing around the backstreets of Corahs and St Margrates church, Somewhat embarrassed on the Sunday week, he came sheepishly backing into the fold, having learned a lesson!!! He actually turned out to be an OK guy, he married an ex-flame of mine...who was actually in the pub that night. A couple of years later the Holyrood, became a bit of a center, for brawls, but we were long gone!! Too busy seriously chasing girls, some getting even married!!,or first experiences of seeing the world.. We all thought..God We would of loved to have seen his face in those seconds of realisation....
