Vardinio'sCat Posted 24 November 2018 Posted 24 November 2018 The team announcements are priceless under Claude. Can you imagine how the team feel when they find out the starters, it must be quite tense. Oh to be a fly on the wall! With this busy period, some rotation is probably wise, we can't nursemaid players through that number of games.

MPH Posted 24 November 2018 Posted 24 November 2018 shinji! love that guys and glad he is getting a chance! Vardy to come on and blast last them for the last 30 minutes and bag 2 goals!

Deeg67 Posted 24 November 2018 Posted 24 November 2018 Okazaki has played as the lone striker for Japan many times. Not like he has no experience in that role. 2
Dr The Singh Posted 24 November 2018 Posted 24 November 2018 Is Puel trying to get himself the sack??? 1

Definitely possible. Whilst we haven’t put out our strongest team, I don’t think it’s weak. We only got knocked out in the cups last season by the eventual winners and took both to extra time. I don’t think we’ll win either but we are definitely capable of going at least one round better with some good performances and a bit of luck. I liked that we put our strong sides so far.
AlloverthefloorYesNdidi Posted 24 November 2018 Posted 24 November 2018 Team selections like this are why I love Puel He loves a curveball 1

There was an interview with Rio Ferdinand where he said that Fergie was brilliant at it. Puel could be saying “I’m saving you for the cup game because we are going all out to win it!” Granted I doubt this happened though 1
lgfualol Posted 24 November 2018 Posted 24 November 2018 I wouldnt play Shinji as a lone striker for the u23s... Not sure what Puel is thinking.

Monk Posted 24 November 2018 Posted 24 November 2018 Kelechi must be completely out of favour, as he is fit, right? I love Shinki, hope he shines today up front with Gray.

He was heavily criticised for his last international game and there are reports that he is totally lacking in confidence
orangecity23 Posted 24 November 2018 Posted 24 November 2018 That's a lineup that looks like we are prioritising the cup tie on Tuesday to me. 1
Popular Post HighPeakFox Posted 24 November 2018 Popular Post Posted 24 November 2018 1. Some players have been on fumes 2. Some players have niggles 3. Some players are bang off form 4. We have a match on Tuesday 5. Nobody has a divine right to be picked 13
Keiriel Posted 24 November 2018 Posted 24 November 2018 I'm curious to see how Mendy and Iborra work together. Also, I'm surprised at Shinji starting up front, but we can be sure that he gives 110% as always. Have a little faith, guys.

Larry_LCFC Posted 24 November 2018 Posted 24 November 2018 I like the fact Shinji is getting a chance, but not on his own ffs. Setting him up to fail.
jammie82uk Posted 24 November 2018 Posted 24 November 2018 Not an unexpected lineup really Vardy been struggling in training Ndidi missed games for Nigeria, nacho has travelled and played while shinji is fresh

Seems a good move to me - not sure Shinji is the man to replace him but maybe Bert was confused and it's Gray up front. Personally think Gray is in better form and more dangerous than Vardy at the moment. Also good to see that Puel has the balls to drop Vardy - quite a few on here wanted him to but didn't think he dare. 6 minutes ago, Vardinio'sCat said: You're on fire today mate!
