Guest Posted 25 November 2018 Posted 25 November 2018 Not a hope in hell of this team but I'd play: Ward Pascanu Soyuncu Knight/Johnson Fuchs Choudhury Iborra Ghezall Iheanacho Gray Vardy/Shade And I'd still expect to win.
Ross-Kemp Posted 25 November 2018 Posted 25 November 2018 Puel has never lost this fixture. Bring on Man City

Saints fans hoping to get beat !! Don't want Hughes getting more time and a probable spanking by the Manchester Globe trotters in the next round.. 1

Why ?? We have two opportunities at winning something this season, we should always be picking our strongest team. 1

We're entering a time of the year where there are a lot of fixtures in a short period of time. One of our big advantages over other clubs is that we have a big and fairly equally talented squad. We need to use this to our advantage so that we can win as many matches as possible. Southampton should be one of the weakest teams we play at any time this season, so I think that justifies resting Chilwell and Ricardo. As for the other changes: Ward is a very good goalkeeper it wouldn't worry me if he were our first choice so giving Kasper 1 game off is no big deal, plus his heroics in the last round deserve it. In Centre defence Maguire is out. Is playing Soyuncu alongside one of our exceptional u23s (who know how to score too) really a step down from playing the 2 old men - Morgan and Evans who would appreciate not playing EVERY game between now and mid January. Midfield sees only 1 change from this weekend, Choudhury for Mendy. Choudhury has a motor unlike anyone else at the club and Mendy hasn't had a break this season. Iborra is a goal threat and needs sometime on the pitch. Our attack is first team.
whoareyaaa Posted 25 November 2018 Posted 25 November 2018 Kasper Simpson Morgan Evans Fuschs Ricardo Nididi Silva Gray Nacho Vardy
Rigga Posted 25 November 2018 Posted 25 November 2018 I want our best team possible playing..we can not take any premier team lightly , even Southampton. Disagree also that we have a deep equally talented squad. At times, except for our strongest starting 11 we have very little to come off the bench and change games.. Even with oth our strongest 11, we still need a RB, CM Winger and CF as I do not think we are strong at all in those departments. 1
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 25 November 2018 Posted 25 November 2018 No messing, put a good team out. They're shite and Puel likes beating them evidently.

l444ry Posted 25 November 2018 Posted 25 November 2018 Ought to have enough in the locker to turn this Southampton side over but we have a great habit of making games harder than necessary. Only won one of our last six game and most of them were winnable. Hopefully we get our heads in front early for once. 1
Wymsey Posted 25 November 2018 Posted 25 November 2018 Anyone know how ticket sales are faring for this?
