We're 7th in the premier league ffs

That is great position to be in for sure. No one can argue that.

However, a day at wembley is so special. I remember going Derby for play off final, then Spurs, Middlesborough + Tranmere in the cup. We should not play weakened sides in cup competitions as these days live longer in the memory than a respectable league position. Man City quarter final 2 years in a row now, when we had a good chance if we played our strongest side is very poor going in my opinion.

I agree mate. We shouldn't play a weakened side. I'd love to see us win the FA Cup more than just about anything.

I'm not arguing that us going out of the cup is a good thing, I'm arguing that the season isn't over because we're now out....because it isn't.

Another Puel lover boy who likes watching sh-te football.

Sorry for the late reply, been masturbating over the picture of Claude I keep in my wallet.

Just out of interest, which part of my post pointing out that we're 7th in the league did you disagree with?

Totally agree with you I went to the Blackburn and Swindon games as well all great days out, I was only a teenager then but they were all great memories. I would love to go back there again it was a fantastic site walking up Wembley way.

Yes in one of the worst leagues for many years. 4 wins at home and a manager with a worst record than Peter Taylor and we sit 7th shows how bad the league is!

playing for 7th; unlikely to go down of course the season is over as upsetting as that is

We knew 7th was the best we can get so why the hell did he not go all out to win both trophy’s is just shocking

Piss poor performance time and time again, Boring and dull football it’s just making me angry and I’ve started to go off football now ☹️

Doesn't football make us fans a fickle bunch? A few wins and we were all saying how wonderful the sqaud is. One very bad result and the world is imploding as we know it!!

It's a funny old game.

As pitiful as that performance and results was, a lot of people were asking for most of the players that played to start. Blaming Puel for team selection is extremely fickle based on that, but I think all of the above need to share blame for the abject performance, and I think we need a drastic overhaul of our non-essential players. I want to see Puel buy something in midfield and a backup striker in the transfer window and try to impose his style from thereon out otherwise I wouldn't protest his being sacked come the end of the season. I still like a lot of things about his tenure, but I also don't think he is quite the right match at this very moment with this squad by large.

Though the general outcry of overdramatic loathing for Puel is really doing my head in so I'll probably stay away for a while lest I fall into arguing a position I don't even strongly hold.

There really can’t be many other fan bases that are this reactionary.

Season over ... Rubbish!!!

this is not  a bad thing..... we have to really push on from here.... no more excuses from distractions etc ....... we have 31 points (7th) Moan Utd have 38 (6th) we have to ensure we finish no lower than 7th  and i believe..... correct me if i am wrong...... that would be our second highest ever finish in the premier league?

Me ...  i am.excited .... soon we have Liverpool, Man ure, and Spuds all in a row and we finish with Arse, Man Citeh and Chelsea as our last three games.

season over ...... GET REAL:scarf:

i wouldnt say its season over, its bloody disappointing in the extreme to go out yesterday(wouldnt have been so annoyed with it if we was still in the league cup tbh),  we stilll have alot to play for and hopefully we can push to finish as high as we can in the league

as long as the  players turn up and put in some effort

Gone off football ?? you could always start supporting Liverpool, I hear they are playing some really good football and some suggest they may win the league this year. You might want to jump on that old bandwagon. I think red suits you too

I don’t think so, everyone has a view and this is mine, although not a bad shout as Liverpool are actually exciting to watch, to make you joke/dig work I’d have thought you would have used another team in red that still harp on about something they did 40 years ago!

ive had a season ticket for 28 years and I’ve seen some shit over the years but never constantly dull. I travel up from Berkshire for each game and honestly it’s getting harder and I hear the same shit from the Puel lovers on the radio and here I honestly can only assume most of them don’t attend the games and only look at the league position

i hear claude say we looked good we had good shape good tenacity and the same things he says every match I feel like Bill Murray every Saturday afternoon

Claude to Leicester fans is like Brexit for the country and to be even more controversial I am voting out to both lol

Agree with all this except the Brexit decision!

If we were to finish 7th does that mean we’ll be involved in the Europa league thing, like Burnley?

Only if the FA and league cup are won by someone in the top 5, which everyone's forgetting. The remainder of the season now offers nothing but league position to play for, we're reliant on others for that to then mean anything other than a bit more prize money. Only thing the remainder of the season is worth is getting Barnes and Benkovic back and starting to bed them in

FFS, Can we have some Positivitee please. We were on course for 7th Last Season But Because Of The Season is Over Attitude we Ended Up Chocking And I Don't Want It To Happen Again. You Don't Stop Playing Properly Half Way Through The Season. You Play Up Till The Last Game. Think Positivitee Lads.

We're All Pissed That We Fvcked Up Against Blooming Newport County But You Can't Complain That They Fielded A Weak Side. Just Move On.

Haha boring if we were all the same. I was in on both until last summer and now I’ve swapped to out as times gone by

have a good day

So we are now saying we want to be in a relegation battle to give us something to do?

Okay...

It’s not over, we have more sideways football, the hope of getting into Europe by beating a big side, to only finish 10 th because we couldn’t beat Fulham, Huddersfield and alike, and then repeat next year

No I think everyone is pissed of because the manager showed no respect to both cups again, the same as he did last season

It isn't season over but our attitude to the cups is a disgrace and I refuse to defend us in any way for that yesterday. We are the perfect example of everything wrong with them.

I sadly just can't see us coming 7th. Nothing's changed since last year. All the crap will come here and take points off us again, starting Saturday.

Spot on. I'll eat Gary Linekers shorts live on MOTD if we finish 7th.

This isn’t just the manager though is it?

Ranieri fielded similar weakened sides, sad to say but there is simply no desire at the club to win the FA Cup.

It’s currently all about maintaining our PL status and taking the wad every year.

Wether things change once we have the new training ground and stadium expansion sorted, who knows ?
