Could a former player do the job?

i wouldn't mind the club interviewing Cambiasso to see what ideas he could offer if it was purely for a coaching role. I still think he has a few years of coaching before being considered a serious option.

Solskajer has had an easy ride with the games he's had so not a relevant indication as to whether former players could do a good job, by the way why aren't the media calling the players out like they did ours, because they loved Ranieri and hated Mourinho.

Short answer no.

No nothing to do with Solskjaer the lazy Barsterwards Pogba etc downed tools under Jose they played negative football pogba threw all his toys out of his pram under Jose, but the minute Jose gets sacked they’re all running around back to their best especially No1 king Snake Pogba ?? !!

To be honest I don’t think there’s anyone better than Puel at the moment, certainly not an ex player of ours. The situation at Man U is much different with Oli as they have an embarrassment of riches whilst we just have an embarrassment.

If I was rich,I couldn't care if it was embarrassing..:)

Rarely works, even less likely to work with our fanbase. I still can't forget the amount of morons who wanted to put Steve Walsh in charge of this club about 15 years ago.

Radio Leicester post-match phone-in staple every week between 2004 and 2008.

For the record, I don't think Puel is going anywhere soon so this is hypothetical.

I do sometimes wonder if an appointment from "within" would ever work for us.

You see United under Solskjaer. On paper you'd say he wouldn't warrant a job like that but a man who knows the club and its values and will get the fans onside no matter what.

A bit more trickier for us in the sense we aren't blessed with a history of former players going into management. But would a Neil Lennon or Esteban Cambiasso be worth a punt for example? The former was linked with us after Pearson

Wouldn't mind Bruno Berner here as manager. He's really switched on and started his management career well.
