UniFox21 Posted 14 March 2019 Posted 14 March 2019 4 in the u21 squad, which at a quick glance is high up there with most inclusions in the squad. Really pushes how much young talent we have in the squad. 2 of which are academy products, this kind of thing will help us attract good young talent to the club. Edit - Just pipped by Chelsea with 5, 4 of which being out on loan.
norwichfox Posted 14 March 2019 Posted 14 March 2019 Impressive....will appease Maddison and Gray for not making the full England Squad
brookfox Posted 14 March 2019 Posted 14 March 2019 Chelsea’s transfer ban could be the best thing ever to happen to English football! And well done to our 4.
dmayne7 Posted 14 March 2019 Posted 14 March 2019 Lot of very talented players in there. Surprised Hamza is in, purely because he hasn't been playing.
Xen Posted 14 March 2019 Posted 14 March 2019 Barnes included as a midfielder. Interesting. The midfield there looks very strong tbh. 6 of the 7 are at their parent (PL) clubs, and all putting in decent performances at this level.

mozartfox Posted 14 March 2019 Posted 14 March 2019 Great news. Remarkable the number of Full and Under 21 Internationals that we currently have on our books.

foxy boxing Posted 14 March 2019 Posted 14 March 2019 would be brilliant if they all played and developed together for both Leicester and England over the next few years and hopefully become regulars for both club and country.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 14 March 2019 Posted 14 March 2019 Nice. Will make an effort and go and watch the game vs Germany seeing as we've got so many involved.

Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 14 March 2019 Posted 14 March 2019 I'm off to this in Bristol next week. Delighted I will see our LCFC young guns turn out.

Desabafar Posted 14 March 2019 Posted 14 March 2019 I hope we continue with the young English talent route for years to come. Let us be the place for players to come to develop

Yeah its weird, I tend to think of them as Forwards as they're different to Left Mids, for instance. Some wingers seem to get listed as Mids and others as Fwds though with no clear distinction. Obviously there are some who do drift between the two, but the 'definition' is so arbitrary that you end up with weird cases like Salah being a midfielder in FPL terms. That being said, WhoScored has Barnes down as spending most of his minutes at CAM so I guess I stand corrected

And I can remember a time when I was so excited about our future when we had Trevor ****ing Benjamin playing at Filbert Street in an U21s captained by John Terry. Jermaine Defoe scored.
