One of the great things in sport for me is a smaller club/ nation having a genuine class act. Like Matt Le Tissier at Southampton in football, Shakib is a fantastic player in an ordinary team.

Brilliant hitting from Morgan earlier, created an unassailable target. Felt a bit for Rashid Khan who is normally brilliant, he got absolutely tonked all over the park.

 

All credit to Afghanistan for this batting 'chase' though. They know there's no chance of victory but have stuck in there and look like they could produce a decent score of their own.

Pleased for Morgan. Looked at his stats in the last year in ODI’s and he’s actually done a lot more than I thought he had. Really pleased for him, often overshadowed in this side but I’m glad he’s shown he’s still a match winner
