Right so statue for Vardy has to be done right? But what? I was thinking a "3 part" statue, with 3 of his most memorable celebrations.

Mine would be

-11 in a row

- the eagle

- the corner flag.

The corner flag one is my fav: Pure power, pure force, complete shithouse

11 in a row, I don't think it's a debate

Build the statue. Start the prep now so it can be announced the day he retires.

Minded to think he should get a stand named after him as well.

Eagle stand sounds great.

I think he's currently better than in the last 2 seasons. Just looks sharper, quicker and hungrier.

I think managed by Ruud, who himself is legendary goalscorer, will only elevate Vardy's game.

Never mind Owen's record - it's Kevin Phillips who should be quaking in his boots. Three years to go and the oldest goalscorer record tumbles, zimmer frame and all! lol

I agree. Ruud may not necessarily be able to teach Vardy much at this stage but what he can do is set the team up to ensure Vardy has the best chance of being effective in games.

Embarrassingly, I wrote him off twice at Leicester.

Didn't think he was good enough in his first season in the Championship. Didn't think he was good enough in his first season in the Prem.

I don't know what I'm talking about lol

A good lesson to not prematurely write people off. My mates still remind me of my Vardy criticisms to this day... and it's hard not to blame them!

I remember defending him to someone in his first championship season because, despite his wayward finishing, he always seemed to make things happen.

I did go on to say that he was 'worth keeping as an option off the bench', but still..

Got to be honest, his next deal should be a 2 year one. End the speculation every May. If you're nearly 38 and on course for a double figures goals season we'd be crazy not to renew again, even if he ends up being an option off the bench in 26/27.

Sing. Ten more years Jamie Vardy  ten more years. Stanley Mathew's played in top division at 50+. Another record that needs to be broken.

our first year back in the Premier and we were looking like we were getting relegated, I remember the excitement ('bite there hand off!') When there was talk of west brom making a £7m bid for Vardy in the summer. The reaction seemed to be 'why would they offer all that? If they are stupid enough to, take it!' 😄

Jamie Vardy has only had 8 shots on target this season, he’s got 6 goals - that is frankly a ridiculous conversion rate.

To put into context, Ollie Watkins has had 21 shots on target for 7 goals.
