Can we all please just stop posting about him being past it in this thread. I think we can all agree all the signs are he's done for at the top level. We don't need 5 pages of people saying it over and over again.

Do you not get the irony in your post?

You ask people to stop posting the very stuff you then go on to post!

He needs to be used as an impact sub, like when he came back from his long term injury we played Burnley away in March last year.

He came on with 10 minutes to go, gives a great pass for Maddison to score the opening goal and then scores one himself in the 90th minute.

Not bad for 10 work minutes!

Love the bloke, but persistence with him could cost us

He mostly always played with a two, play him alone and with few chances,it’s obvious he would struggle…Too many through balls have not carried that quality,or

too late played ,then offside.!!

And again Vardy can’t be judged on this season,

where all players behind him were generally dire

or strewn with defensive mistakes..

Finding rythme or form would be difficult even fora 26-30 year old.

Vardy hasn't had a shot on target in 3 months, it's much more than him just finding a rhythm.

Strikers rythm & finding some form, depends on what's around them..

Not just Vardy..

Look at A.villa front crew..even Palace front players..Started well then lost it.rekindled their team form

But the people behind them have got to stand up..

A sad, but sadly accurate, piece about JV in the Independent: https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/jamie-vardy-premier-league-leicester-dean-smith-b2320778.html

Also has some interesting insights/opinions on what else has gone wrong for us this season.

Great piece and sadly quite accurate, also mentions the mistake of persisting with Danny Ward. Sadly time has caught up with Vardy, he must be benched moving foward.

Elixir of life,

I never give up on proven characters…Its count down, last chance saloon,

7 drinks Left on the table…

Sharpshooter, needs a side kick….Nacho & Vardy firing from both barrels a must.

but they need the posse behind them…

Nah nah nah you're all wrong he'll pop one in sooner or later and then it'll be pringles time.

This will happen, no doubt about it, but one goal won't change my mind of what I've seen across a whole season.

Vardy is in my eyes an absolute hero. Age catches up with us all but I do not want his legacy damaged by persisting with him now. I do not know why KI has been rotated so much because he is now no. 1. He has an eye for goal and can spot a pass. Give him a run of games and he WILL score goals. The stats say the opposite for Vardy. If this season is his last I will stand to applaud him for what he has been for us.

If we go down and I do mean "If".  Vardy will be essential to getting us back up or making sure we don't go down any further.

He could be the best striker in that division next season (If)

The best thing he can do for this club right now is take his missus across the atlantic and ply his trade in the MLS.

His legacy isn’t going to be damaged. He’s the clubs greatest ever player who has spearheaded the club’s greatest ever achievements, one over-the-hill season as a 36 year as isn’t going to change that

It will for some. I hear what people say and know how fickle they are. I agree with what you have said.

Those "some" are probably the same coked up twats who were shouting he's non league shite Pearson! When I was at Peterborough away.

No it doesn't. Newcastle away in the League Cup he was brought on because we needed a goal and he missed a chance from about 3 yards out. The whole "he never has any chances" isn't true.

100% this.

Age and injuries have caught up with Vards like they do every player sadly.

Still our GOAT in my eyes but hope something is mutually agreed in the summer for both parties as “if” we stay up he isn’t PL quality anymore 😢
