Striker is one of the most important places we need to recruit.

JV should be on the bench.

I absolutely adore the man. But he struggled up front when we got relegated last time so it should be no surprise he's struggled again at times this season. Just another sign that those running this club are absolutely useless at planning for the future

Start Daka on Saturday.

I want to agree then I have an intrusive flashback of Daka being put through on goal and tripping over the ball and the horrific thought of it happening again makes my blood run cold.

I love him, and I don’t want anything said bad about him but relying on a 37/38 year old striker as our main hope for goals to keep us up this season was always going to be a recipe for disaster.

Still think he'd be better if he wasn't so isolated.

The fact he's still got so much enthusiasm and aggression and players like Mavididi stroll around without putting anywhere near the same effort in , is embarrassing and shows how poor our recruitment has been for so long

Daka looked good when he came on, I just think he needs a run of games.

JV is a club legend but he’s 38 trying to play with the same energy he had 10 years ago by himself up top.

He needs support up there and to just sit around the six yard box.

Problem is, he scores a couple of 1 yard tap ins and everyone forgets about the other 99.9% of the time and are gushing over the man. It's like playing with 10 men most of the time, when he does get involved he turns into Akinbiyi more often than not.

Hope he calls it at the end of the season and doesn't tarnish his reputation. Get to the MLS or A League and enjoy scoring some goals in the sun lad.

Daka might be the 2nd coming of Elvis Hammond but at least having him will give the opposition defence something to think about and hopefully open up some haps for BEK and Facundo to take advantage of.

unfortunately if we're honest he is mostly past it and this was obviously gonna be the case back in the summer (remember how much he struggled in 22/23). Sensible recruitment would have been a new striker and have him as an impact sub at most, but we didn't have a sensible recruitment strategy

he needs to be dropped, hes not been good enough of late, and imagine if Daka had missed the chances JV did tonight, this forum would want him out by friday dinner time

Daka has to start saturday, no ifs no buts

Didn't Giggs in his final year play more of a central midfield position. He didn't have the legs, but had the brain to play the assists or break the lines with through balls

Will always love vards for everything genuine legend, it’s jus completely embarrassing we are pinning our hopes for goals  on a 38 year old and expecting him to play nearly every week

Works hard but he's had it unfortunately. He'd be getting more criticism if it wasn't him.

However, as I think we're already relegated I half want to see him play as many minutes as possible as I fear this will be his last season.

I this a serious suggestion playing Vardy centre mid or have you had too many beers?

Is the reason that he has fallen off so hard because he can no longer train regularly?

He's still good enough physically in matches to score, otherwise he wouldn't be getting the chances he has done. He has just lost the composure in front of goal that he used to have.

Today isn't the first game this season he's missed big chances. He's clearly working his socks off, but its not going right for him at the moment.

My issue is we are playing him too much. Its as if when its not working we play him more. If he bagged 2 in the first half, like he should have, i imagine he comes off about about 70 mins. But when he can't score, we keep him on no matter what.

I think we should start Daka on saturday and bring Vards on as impact sub. Cant see that happening and he will play the full 90 mins as part of the loss.
