Non League Football 2019-20

Recommended Posts

Surprised all players don't have insurance in case of injury.

£115,000 legal fees and costs is obscene. Having to pay the player any compensation is mental enough. Then giving them a ridiculous legal bill so high is totally unjustifiable.

You've got to have absolutely no conscience to do that.

Tough times at Chesterfield, when will they bottom out.

Manager there I have heard is safe as the club don't have the cash to pay him off until any new ownership arises.

Saw them last Saturday against Chorley. Absolutely woeful, booed off at half-time. Very sad to see at such a traditional club.

Other than the early goal, Notts were shit again and lucky for a draw at home against Sutton.

Could definelty hear the fans turning on the team today.

Ardley has to go. Can't throw the players under the bus, then start those exact players again and again.

Can only go on what you say and what I read from the fans on twitter and the forum, but how many times now is that you've been a goal up and ended up drawing?

Notts have a very capable squad and looking at the results should be doing much, much better.

Yes Ardley stayed loyal in the summer and kept things going in difficult circumstances, but that shouldn't give him a pass.

Sack.

Kevin Wilkin at Brackley sounds the man for you.. probably one of the best manager's non league manager's in the country. Did wonders for Nuneaton Borough when he was here for eight seasons achievening three promotions in four seasons! took Boro as high as 5th in the conference in 2014 on the smallest budget in the league before leaving for Wrexham... Wrexham things didn't quite go to plan. I think he had a lot problems going from part time management to full time management, still managed to lead Wrexham to a Fa Trophy final. Lost the final and was quite harshly sacked by Wrexham leaving them 14th or something in league. After a bit of time of football took over at Brackley Town who at the time were struggling near the bottom of conference north, managed to keep them up and in the last two seasons they've got from a team in normally relegation scraps in that level to promotion challengets and last year he managed to once again lead another time to the Fa Trophy Final this time winning it with Brackley.

Underated manager that should really be managing at the top level of non league football.

Fvck me, Spireites losing again and now second bottom. Second bottom in the Conference. Unbelievable.

Four years ago they were in the League One play-offs and now heading to National North.

What a decline.

Alot of ex football league clubs in the national north these days... York City, Hereford, Kidderminster, Darlington, Boston United, Chester. So many fallen giants.

@spacemunky What’s your thoughts on Ardley / team selection buddy?

Mixed feelings really. Which is always the case when the team is in a funk.

Of course we did manage to win the 'derby' with Chesterfield.

Hate always resorting to wanting the manager fired all the time. You get in that rut and the team will most always suffer.

Who's looking for a manager job with a non league team? Maybe being 'Notts' still has some cache, but even that is dwindling.

Hope we can get on track into the new year and at least contend for a playoff spot.

Massive win at Halifax today!

They were the early front runners, but seemed to have slipped off a bit.

If only we can carry some momentum for once and string some results together now.

Saw it was 1-0 at half time and thought "typical, losing again!" lol

What a surprised when I saw what the final score was!

So Ardley is now a genius for deciding to kick toward the Kop to start the match against Maidenhead.

Played our usual better 2nd half at home in the first half and the 3 goals were enough to see it though.

Two points back of the playoffs and playing some decent football.

Noticed Barrow are top, their ground will need some work for football league

Fair play if they come up though. Am I right in thinking they were one of the most hard done by in the injustice of the re-election process?

Boro face Coalville at Liberty Way for there sort of derby clash on new years day, a chance for revenge following 3-5 hammering back at the place in August. Despite the amount of defeats we've had this season we are currently sitting seventh and just six points behind leaders Tamworth.
