OUT:

Nacho (Loan)

Slim (Free to get off wage bill)

Ghezzal (£4m)

Kingy (£2m)

James (Loan)

Elder (£500k)

Amartey (Loan)

Jakupovic (£500k)

Silva (Part/ex for Youri)

Mendy (£8m)

Total: £15m

IN:

Youri (£35m + Silva)

Callum McGregor (£15m)

James Justin (£8m)

Che Adams (£15m)

Sarr (£30m)

Total: £103m

NET SPEND: £88m

If the rumours are true that we’re going big this summer, I’d like to see this happen. Obviously we don’t know if we need to sell to buy, if we do I wouldn't be adverse to Maguire going for £70m ish to bring down the net spend.

You’re living in a dream world if you think we’ll get rid of Slimani for free.

At this rate we’ll have to pay someone to take him off us.

Can't believe Slimani has 2 years left on his contract lol

Has to be one of our worst ever transfers.

I guess you have a short memory, as he is magnitudes better than nacho a striker brought in after him.  Slimani hasnt worked out but he is a player I would have had hope in coming on as a sub in games when we used nacho as a sub this previous season.

Who made the decision to let ulloa go and loan slim out?

As bad as Iheanacho has been, he's still young and could still turn it around. If not, he at least has some resale value & we could probably get him off our books if we wanted.

Slimani is a dog and his wages are astronomical.

Well if CARLSBERG did transfer windows we’d sell all the dross, keep all the first team and buy 3 world class players but as this is a Heineken thread, I reckon we’ll just have to refresh the legs of players that other managers couldn’t coach.

If "Heineken" made transfer windows....

Out

Maguire for £3.12p

Chilwell for £5 and some bubblegum

Schmeichel for 26 Krone

Ndidi for 55m Nigerian Naira

In

Lee Cattermole for @Col city fan's lunch money

Nicky Maynard for £100m

My mate (who is the referee), priceless

But again, that's if "Heineken" did it.

dont think anyone wants him gone, but the amount we could get for him is huge. and i find it likely he would just run his contract down if we decided to just keep him no matter what. might as well cash out now while its still in our hands.

This. Unbelievable that the majority are saying sell Maguire. If we have aspirations to be in the top 6 we need to keep all of our best players and add some extra quality to the squad.

I think you overvalue age.  Personally I consider nacho a worse signing than slimani.

The obvious way to pay for the 5 above is to sell someone like Harry or buy someone like gomes instead of youri. I'm not naive to think that we have lots of money to spend, however that would be my perfect window as we lose the players that are unlikely to play and replace with quality.

As in Liverpool's 33 year old, bang average, James Milner?

We have a shed load of youth that would benefit from a bit of leadership. The 'bang average' guy that was part of a 97 point season and a Champions League winning team, can play in multiple positions and with no transfer fee would do for me.

Fair enough. Not sure about his £120k a week salary though.

Looks like he might be getting an extension at L'Pool from what I've seen.

Yeah I've heard the same about the contract extension. Their fans absolutely love him. I do agree with you about the salary. It would be a lot despite the benefits it would provide.
