Why do you need the club to play this? If it genuinely is/was a club anthem then wouldn’t it manifest itself through the fans naturally?

Or are you trying to manufacture an anthem that, if we’re honest, isn’t really there anyway?

As a side note: I thought the Jeesey Budd version was pretty disliked for being too slow and dreary anyway? A sentiment I agree with. For me, some fella crooning along to some slow ballard is hardly atmosphere-generating material anyway.

I've never liked the Jersey budd version, but I think it works better in terms of it seems longer and slower.  The problem with the proper and best version is our fans want to sing it at 200 mph, and by the time other parts of the kop realise its being sung its already finished.  What I would say, is when this was first brought out a few years ago, the club did play it before a few games and it never really caught on.

I think if we were to sing the JB version it would need the backing track as it's a really tricky tempo to hold.

Amazing that PSV appeared to know more about the history/culture of our club than our own club.

The atmosphere at that game from leicester was the best I can remember for years. Helped that the sweet dreams song was sung by everyone and is excellent and easy to learn

I thought that I was in the minority liking the Jersey Budd version. I've no longer got the energy to stand and chant the whole game but I certainly can belt this out (and did when it was last played pre-match). C'mon City, get it on.

If you want the entire stadium singing it in unison, yeah, you need to play it.
