Are Yanited this arrogant?

This is probably the most naive post I've ever read.

I agree with the sentiment that parents shouldn't be absolved of the responsibility of raising their children. 100%

But kids pick up role models everywhere, they always have its just that with every passing generation they get easier access to a wider and wider range of sources through better connectivity.

So other people should pay the consequence because someone they don't even know exists decided they want to have kids?

I had heroes growing up Gascoigne was one of them  I'm not an alcoholic, I've never hit a woman and I've never taken chicken to a serial killer.

We blame these celebrities for their behaviour, and then give the media you know the ones that are actually exposing kids to jack Wilshire smoking etc etc a free ride

Edit: obviously I meant within the law

I'm not sure about arrogant. They are huge club and we have miles to go to finish above them and come anywhere near to their spending power.

Miles to go to finish above them? Either you are a closet Utd fan or a general doom n gloom merchant.

How many points did we throw away in the toxic Puel period?

if you look at pure points it looks that way, however the reality was it could and should have been a much closer tally.

If you go back to our amazing title win, we won the league by 10 points did all of them below have miles to go to finish above us? Saying miles to go is as ridiculous as SOME of the posters on Red Cafe, they are currently in a downward spiral imo, time will tell.

To me as long  as these player's are performing on the pitch then they can do whatever they want off of it.

WTF?

So as long as the player is scoring goals saving penalties or bossing the midfield that's fine.

He can then go home rape murder groom young children snort coke and drink drive. Oh and do 70mph past schools.

The problem with so many players is they have your attitude. Being a great player don't make you a nice person or above the law.

We've finished above them in 1 season since the premier league began, so it's not quite the time to start calling them arrogant. I'm certainly not a doom and gloom merchant, just a realist who doesn't wildly swing from one extreme to the other. I'm hoping (and reasonably confident) BR can bring the huge improvement needed to challenge for the top 6.

It's true that parents have the responsibility of teaching kids right from wrong. But there comes a point in every kid's life where they rebel against and question everything their parents tell them. There's also that moment when kids realise that their parents are mere mortals and not the superheroes they thought they were when they were younger.

Other role models do have a profound impact on a child's life. That could be a grandparent, aunt/uncle, significantly older sibling, a family friend, or, yes, a celebrity, YouTuber, TikTok creator, etc.

Children consume so much information. Blaming celebrity role models on lazy parenting is frankly unfair. I'll bet most of us on here had at least one growing up, whether it was a footballer, movie star, singer or whatever.

Plus you have many kids who are bounced around from foster home to foster home and care home to care home. What other choice do they have?

Growing up?  I'm 29 and I still want to be Nigel Pearson.

?? are you serious There's a slight difference between players cheating on their wives/ drinking to much and rating hotel rooms. And out right becoming Genghis khan

So when someone says to you I don't care what you do the first thing you think of doing is rape and grooming kids? I think that says more about you to be honest

Solskjaer on transfers: "We're still in the market and looking to do some business. We're patient and we're Man United, we don't have to sell and we don't have to overpay

They are the past it movie star of old. Everyone has moved on ,man city and Liverpool are miles ahead of them. Old Trafford is looking very tired next to the likes of spurs new ground and quite frankly their manager is s..t. they are not in a situation where they are going to get the very best players because of their name. They need to wake up smell the coffee and rebuild,  they are not the only show in town anymore.

Breaking the law and just outright being  a bellend are 2 completely different things.

And as for snorting coke, it's their career they're potentially throwing away! Not mine, yours or anybody else's. if you seriously have to remind your kids that rape, murder and paedophillia are wrong then you've dramatically failed as a parent.

You're talking as if drink driving and speeding is exclusive to footballers. Again being a knob and a criminal is 2 completely different things

Not at all. But anyone that represents our club has a responsibility to behave and act correctly.

That's why rightly so 3young players got sacked.

Also the idiots in LA Manga got maximum club fines for the stupid situation they got into. Even an affair or night with a pro shows our great club in a bad light.

Even Vardy with his racist comments in a casino. So whatever level it is taken to players don't have a right to do what they like.

If they want £100+k a week they should act in the right way and not like dicks.

Calm down, mate, no one is suggesting there is anything wrong with leaving Tripadvisor reviews.

You know you're getting older and having to google what something is, just to keep up with the kids!

I'm 33 and have no idea what a TikTok Creator is :crylaugh:

I really like the way clubs like us operate at the moment. The days of it being a given that sides like United can just turn up and bully our clubs for our best players might not quite be over but they are definitely harder for them to achieve.

For us specifically, I love how we dig our heels in at times. We did it with Riyad and mate him wait, we had to let Kante go because of his buy-out clause and Drinky almost went with our blessing. You would have thought that 3 or 4 go every season but instead we are adding players that arguably other "bigger" clubs should get.

United may well still grab Maguire but it will be on our terms, not theirs.

Rudkin: I've got Chelsea on the line, they want to know how much for Drinky?

Top: Mmmm, £15m? See what you can get.

Rudkin (On Phone): Hello? Yeah, he's not for sale

Chelsea: We'll give you £35m

Rudkin: We'll have him with you within the hour.

I think you've missed my point, I've never disputed that they are a massive club in history, revenue and world wide appeal, I personally feel they are in decline, need a massive rebuilding job and imo they do not have the man at the helm to do this! Time will tell but currently I would not swap their squad, manager or team ethos for ours.

Got his work cut out has OGS . Now he’s found himself telling everyone what a model pro Pogba is and never gives a moments trouble . ( Just in case rumours of the training ground punch up with Lingard ( what a mismatch:D) and an air of all round twattishness knock some of the gilt off the 180,000,000 asking price

Not sure how Man Utd can save this summer. Start by getting rid of Raiola Pogba I guess. Suppose if Ole does well, then momentum will be with them. :dunno:

So in the spirit of one act of random kindness, I will send them my cup
