Happened here and Liverpool too didn't it? Rennie got the boot here for it, I'm guessing it's one of his 'trusted staff' especially if it's happened at more than one club.

He is in their cup squad both domestic & Euro conf & plays.

They have such a big squad can’t fit them all into every match day squad, nothing to sinister about that. For instance Palmer isn’t in their Euro squad for sure and not sure he’s in their domestic cups either & don’t you join the big clubs to play in Europe regardless of competition?

In fairness I don't think he really wanted to go there and was aware there was a chance this would happen.

He's at that level where he'd be a top player for most bottom half sides, but never good enough for a side aiming for Champions League football. 

 

Bloke was basically bought in order to contribute towards Chelsea's home grown quota.

On loan to Brentford/Palace/West Ham next season imo. Another wasted career.

KDH was never going to be any sort of regular at Chelsea, not good enough for that level. It was a really bizarre transfer.

I was about to type "PSR ruins careers" but then I stopped and realised what I should type is "failings within our control lead to us having to sell our top youth asset to comply with PSR".

I think it's a bit of both though isn't it.

 

KDH is a very specific example of our failure but the way the rules are incentivises teams to sell their youth. That's how Man City and Chelsea are building their operations isn't it.
