I'd rather trust the judgement of BR if you don't mind. If he's not up to it, he's very unlikely to get picked. Let's see how he gets on, I think he has great potential.

That's why I was very surprised that LCFC bought him for so much money. Imo you can't survive with this duel behavior in the Premier League...I'm really sorry, but unfortunately that's the truth...

BR really rates him. Quite liked him on the few glimpses we got last season. You can tell there’s some raw defensive talent there but needed time to adapt to the Premier League as he was a bit rash at times. Not in a Benalouane sort of way. (Sadly) I still hope Maguire stays though.

Bosworth Campbell, Hughes, Pascanu, Thomas Dewsbury-Hall, Tavares, Wright Tee, Eppiah, Arlott-John Then there’s Gyamfi, Pennant, Shade etc That's impressed U23 knowledge there! However, not sure they are all available. Aren't Hughes and Dewsbury-Hall injured, and Pascanu definitely won't be back yet because of U21s. Reghba is off playing for Ireland so he's not about. Will see later anyhow!

And I also expect Ayoze Perez to score a hat-trick, if he doesn't then that's £30 million down the drain. Benkovic hasn't even reported back yet. May even still be injured.

Sorry, how long do you want to wait for his footballing development? One year or until he is 25 years old? An ambitious Premier League club, as LCFC is, and its squad is not a football academy or football school...

It's been the blue print for a good 18-24 months now. 1

I'm pretty sure we buy a 22 year old on the basis that there's a fair bit improvement in them. We (seem to) have a model of bringing young players through and generating a chunky profit off them. That doesn't work if all they do is get older...
AjcW Posted 16 July 2019 Posted 16 July 2019 Just to get away from mucfox ramblings. It’s ****ing warm. Some might say too warm. Riverside beers in Lincoln quickly forgotten now I’m on a sweaty northern train
HighPeakFox Posted 16 July 2019 Posted 16 July 2019 For perspective, does anyone recall Steve Walsh as a 22 year old? He got an awful lot better. I suspect the same to be true of Matt Elliott too.

kingfox Posted 16 July 2019 Posted 16 July 2019 Rob Dorsett - "Maguire probably won't be included tonight" About 10 minutes later "Breaking news, Harry Maguire included in tonight's Leicester squad"
norwichfox Posted 16 July 2019 Posted 16 July 2019 Priority no 1: Not to concede in the first 10 minutes....

Mind its a bit strange playing a 85 million quid player in a pre-season friendly. What if he gets crocked. Edited 16 July 2019 by yorkie1999
VLC86 Posted 16 July 2019 Posted 16 July 2019 It almost goes without saying on an away day now but what a shit pit the centre of Scunthorpe is. I didn’t find a single restaurant ?

He did the full nationals and then the Euros as well.

TazzerFox Posted 16 July 2019 Posted 16 July 2019 Will this game be available VOD like after the match is finished? Not going to be able to watch live but would like to be able to watch it later.
