Ive seen him a fair bit and he does this regularly.

 

He's dealing with a 2 on 1 situation. He slide tackles the ball carrier. The other player then picks up the ball and walks unchallenged into a dangerous position (usually the Man Utd penalty area).

 

This is why his tackling stats look so great.

 

I wouldn't swap Ricardo for AWB even if we were given 70m to go along with him.
