StanSP Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 Must say I very much love this series of match posters based on album covers of bands who have a link to the town/City that the band or a band member is from. Unique idea and they're executing it nicely! Against Wolves - Led Zeppelin's IV. Robert Plant is a Wolves fan. Against Chelsea - The Clash's London Calling. Joe Strummer is a fan of Chelsea. Against Sheff Utd - Def Leppard's High and Dry. Joe Elliott is a fan of the Blades. Against Newcastle - Maximo Park's A Certain Trigger. The band is from Newcastle. Bournemouth - Kasabian's For Crying Out Loud
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 Yeah really enjoying these, totally original idea, well done to whoever is putting them together.

RoboFox Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 Agreed. They're great. Some relatively rare original stuff coming out of the club's social media / marketing team.
Langston Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 That Maximo Park one, get me a poster of that badboy
Voll Blau Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 2 hours ago, HighPeakFox said: Absolutely. Guesses for Bournemouth anyone? Bloc Party? Original drummer Matt Tong is a Bournemouth fan and wore a scarf in one of their videos (think it was 'So Here We Are').
Poznan34 Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 Great stuff, well done to whoever thought of doing this.
Yes N'Didi Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 1 hour ago, HighPeakFox said: Absolutely. Guesses for Bournemouth anyone? I would imagine the Klaxons? Jamie Reynolds is a Bournemouth fan.
Yes N'Didi Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 Liverpool will have to be a Beatles one surely... Man City and Oasis obviously.
Blue ROI Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 The late great Mark Hollis of Talk Talk was a Spurs fan. Something 'Spirit of Eden' themed would be good. Though Laughing Stock would also be ideal!
Finnaldo Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 Man U - Stone Roses for Ian Brown? The Second Coming?

mozartfox Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 Roger Waters is an Arsenal Fan so plenty of choices there.

Stadt Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 Arsenal - Rolling Stones Aston Villa - Black Sabbath Bournemouth - Klaxons/Bloc Party Brighton - Fatboy Slim Burnley - Struggling for a well known artist Crystal Palace - Katy B Everton - Beatles Liverpool - Elvis Costello Man City - Oasis Man United - Stone Roses Newcastle - Girls Aloud Norwich - The Darkness Southampton - Craig David Tottenham - Adele Watford - Elton John West Ham - Iron Maiden
urban.spaceman Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 Man City will definitely be Oasis. Vardy in the foreground with Mahrez blurred: Villa will be Ozzy Osbourne, with Soyuncu in the foreground and Albrighton as the little girls at the back: Watford will obviously be Elton John and it just has to be Wilf IMO: Tottenham - could be Adele, but if I were the admin team I'd go with Chas and Dave: That should be Vardy and Morgan holding up a picture of Pochettino and Kane looking at Vardy's legendary Long Live The King tweet.
