Always Next Year Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 We seem to have lost our way when it comes to goals, to much playing across the field when we cross the halfway line. Once we get the ball wide why are we not putting it into the box
Stadt Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 We're not creating good enough chances atm, but we've played too few games to know for certain. If this is still an issue in 10 games time then we can worry.
Mark Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 Only one player can score from open play. Rodgers seemed so sure last season that he wanted more players to contribute goals. I can’t see how he can say that, keep the two DM formation from the back end of last season and have Maddison and Perez out wide, neither are fast or can take players on.
TazzerFox Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 Negative. I love Vardy to death, best striker we've ever had but I really do feel our game plan that Puel and Rodgers have tried to implement does not suit him at all. Most of Vardys goals come from the stereotypical catching out the defenders when they are pushed up high with balls over the top or into space which is clearly not what the manager is trying to get us to play for most the game. Feel like for Vardy to work more effectively in this current set up we need a more physical presence in the box/final third
car1os Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 4 goals, 4 games... doesn’t seem to be what we were putting away early in Rodgers reign. However at least we ARE scoring. Let’s also bear in mind we’ve played 2 of last years top 7 and 2 other Prem teams away from home... let’s give it a few more games before we pass too much judgement
CosbehFox Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 We’ve played three teams who have a five man defence
HybridFox Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 I'd be happy with 1-0/2-0s as long as we get points on the board. Problem is being able to grind them out
coolhandfox Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 Breaking down teams that sit back has been a issue for a long time! For me we move the ball far too slowly.

TMELcfc Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 No... hence why we have won 1 game in 4 this season. Gone from Static Puel ball, to free flowing Rogers, back to Puel ball again. Don't get it, but like I said earlier, he still doesn't seem to know his best 11. If Perez doesn't buck his ideas up then Albrighton will be starting again soon...

Wizerud Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 We’re lucky (or good enough) that we’re scoring enough to avoid defeat. The season and this team is still young. Plenty of time to improve. Another very winnable game this weekend before the break and a chance to get better for Man U. Chin up!

murphy Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 It's the lack of 'out of your seat' moments. It often seems like a bit of a chess match. This is the highest quality Leicester side I've ever known but I have seen much worse Leicester teams that were exciting to watch.
Tielemans63 Posted 28 August 2019 Posted 28 August 2019 We'll get there. Chill the **** out. It's not been a dream start to the season but we look strong. We'll get better.
