NewEnglandFox Posted 4 February 2020 Posted 4 February 2020 This no TV thing for the Shrewsbury game is a farce.

PhillippaT Posted 4 February 2020 Posted 4 February 2020 Aww, shame for Oxford - good strike, not good defending.
lestajigs Posted 4 February 2020 Posted 4 February 2020 135 min of football and still not a goal in the game, two very boring teams
PhillippaT Posted 4 February 2020 Posted 4 February 2020 aww.. 2-0 Newcastle. Oh well, how's the Birmingham vs Coventry game going?

goose2010 Posted 4 February 2020 Posted 4 February 2020 Liverpool getting help off VAR against Shrewsbury is a little sad...
Guest Manini Posted 4 February 2020 Posted 4 February 2020 Ahh so the offside was from the left back coming from an offside position. Just had a massive conspiracy job moan to my scouse housemate there because the lad who put it in was not offside
RowlattsFox Posted 4 February 2020 Posted 4 February 2020 No idea if it was correct or not but ridiculous that some games have VAR and some don't.

Something fishy about that VAR call. I mean he might well be offside but they haven’t showed a freeze frame on the stream I’m watching for me to tell. Robert Green on 5 Live, who presumably has access to a monitor, saying he doesn't know why it's been ruled out either...
goose2010 Posted 4 February 2020 Posted 4 February 2020 Agreed should not be used if it can't be used in every round at every ground.

See my edit mate. They’ve just showed it again and it’s correct if it’s given for the one in the build up

It's just lack of consistency, why have VAR used at Anfield, but not at Oxford, Birmingham, Cardiff etc If it isn't used everywhere, it's not fair and is a stupid decision

So I'm guessing it's something to do with the set up / communication network. But yeah agreed just don't use it same with goaline technology, shouldn't use it in the FA cup.
Guest Manini Posted 4 February 2020 Posted 4 February 2020 They just cannot lose it’s just funny now tbh
goose2010 Posted 4 February 2020 Posted 4 February 2020 Massive own goal as well to help the conspiracy theorists
